For all we know Ethan could have overheard Zane talking about his date plans with Erynn. How he's booked a hotel for them, then all it takes is for Ethan to call the hotel pretending to be Zane to confirm the booking, to find out what room they are staying at and what time. Then book that room before them, hide a small camera and voila. I seriously doubt that it goes beyond that.

You see how many steps you have to take for it not to be Zane. Zane would have to assume he's getting lucky that night brag to a friend that he's going on a date somewhere where Ethan has to be, and buy a motel room super early ( given their age, I doubt it's an overnight stay), have Ethan use his connections to get into said motel room and set up a camera.
It makes more sense for Zane to be involved in whatever is happening. Whether or not he was a willing participant is debatable.

Didn't Erynn say to the MC that she didn't know that it was Ethan's dad's company before she signed with them? At her place after the MC helps her with Ethan? If she just signed with a company name, rather than looking who owns it or who's in charge of it, which I can understand. Especially if they are a big company.

I guess i have a hard time buying that a guy like that wouldn't flex about his dad owning a modeling company...
This is the exact thing "Ethans" do to get attention from girls, say how much money and power/influence they have.

And they knew each other for years, went to the same school, had fights and even the tape blackmail... before she signed with this company.

I was just thinking about the whole costume party with Alexis. I hope Erynn dresses up as Yennerfer with the few times he has mentioned Witcher 3 be perfect. ( not sure if all the costumes have to be animal themed or just Alexis wants hers to be)

I think she also said his dad has been nothing but nice , respectful and all around a good guy to her. So she didn't think anything of it and had no idea Ethan would be her agent and when she was gonna quit the brought up the blackmail again.

Unless I'm mistaken I might be wrong with some of the details here

I just did a Val playthrough without Gabi and Ximena recognized the MC. 100% She's Val's mom.

The issue I had wasn't that much with her, but how she was forced onto me as a player, in my first playthrough (I only started playing this VN 2 updates ago) I had no interest in pursuing her yet, for what seemed to me like forever, she kept popping up no matter how hard I was trying to ignore her and pick negative answers.

I'll eventually try a playthrough involving her, but due to my age I tend to gravitate towards older LIs, not just in Intertwined mind you.

yeah before this update I saw Val as an overhyped pretty face now she is in my top 3.

I'm an old stubborn mule, one of my many defects, so first impressions tend to stick with me, but I'm also a bit of an OCD completionist, so I'll have to play also her route.

with your MC's name that's gonna be confusing when it comes to his best friend haha.

But there is no Elena in this update just trying to make things with Layla has she gave the MC an ultimatum in the last update.

There's a very good chance, yes. Did you do a route without Val? I don't know if Ximena say the same thing regardless (if we didn't take the picture with Val, or if she didn't see MC on the side walk.

There's also a slight chance she would know MC because of Anders, because she seem to know him. But she would've probably made the connection right there "Ahh that's how I know you" (or something like that). But these characters aren't always the brightest (for the sake of writing a story with a lot of twist), so it's possible.

My money is also on Ximena-Valeria, especially since every renders of Val mom look exactly like her.

I think you're overthinking this. I can't remember if it's been mentioned at all, but where was the tape recorded? Did they say it was a motel room? My thought is that Ethan just happened upon it by chance - the way he was, it wouldn't surprise me if he was keeping a close eye on Erynn, potentially even stalking her. He could easily have just been outside a bedroom window filming them on his phone. I certainly don't think however it went down that there was a camera set up in advance...

Zane was definitely involved, but probably only in the sex part. It's very easy for him to have had just as much knowledge of the filming part as Erynn did.
