John death would be the worst, it would drive a wedge between mc and iris as well as mc and Erryn probs mc and Mellissa too. Probs means john is a dead man walking

I think it would probably push Iris closer to MC as we know nothing about her family and it seems like he's her only support.

Iris heard Erynn explaining what Ethan was doing and made no effort to dissuade him from helping. John was asked his opinion and insisted on helping, so her holding MC responsible would make no sense.
Also, nobody would expect it escalating from blackmail to murder.

I can see Melissa adopting her and forming an actual family.
Of course Iris herself can take the hit in something meant for John.
I wouldn't blame Iris for putting the blame on MC-Erynn if something like that comes to pass.
She would be so hurt at losing her only family i can understand her lashing out, even if John chose to enter this of his own volition.
But she will come down since those people will be her new family.
Erynn and Melissa would be saddened but i don't see this driving a wedge between them and MC, maybe Erynn will have one of those "i need to get away from everybody" if Ethan is still at large, but they are always short lived.
I hope it isn't John or Iris, i hope they get a nice family ending.
If someone gets in a coma for a while would do the trick, have us in pain but not permanent.

Well the most drama would actually be Lexi, not only is she an LI in her own right but she's the sister to another LI, best friend of another LI, sister to the best friend of another LI (so that LI would need to comfort her best friend rather than spend time with MC), and best friend to the daughter of another LI (so again she'd need to comfort her daughter rather than pursue romantic interests) so if MC (accidentally obviously) did something to cause Lexi harm then that would cause the most drama. The only confirmed LIs who would not get caught in that drama are Nikki and Cara. Other than MC himself I don't think there's another character as intertwined with the rest of the characters as Lexi.Guys...guys...guys....

Makes plenty of sense. Yes he did this of his own volition, but the fact remains: if MC hadn't brought it to his attention, John wouldn't have been involved.

Really? Blackmail doesn't lead to murder? Crimes lead to crimes, and someone willing to break the law to gain will be willing to kill to protect themselves.
Iris and John are like family with the MC. Ines and John are actual family with Erynn (though they don't know it yet), and that's who they are protecting. Things might get raw, but family is family.
I hope that Iris doesn't die specifically because it's gonna be so funny when she finds out she's trying to get with her half-sister! That's too good to waste with one of them dying.
with the only death so far being a minor character, i don't think any of the main characters will die. i hope for Ethan and Zach. can't stand either one of them. perhaps Darryl..and Tori..
