For you to get the nikki path which people yiu should drop or when she returns you can choose her just like that

If I were to make a manwhore id go Niki or Cara Cheat on them with Mira. ( do not sleep with the blonde in the flashback forget her name) Erynn and Alexis and cheat on them with each other and Iris. If you really want the max amount id also include Tori but Tori is
. Also don't forget Gabi and I guess Mel for future updates.Tho doing a photoshoot with Erynn might cause problems with Nikki also if you do Erynn and Alexis make sure to go running with Layla otherwise you are going to have a bad time. I think you can also include Valeria in this manwhore combo for a little awhile anyways

Y'know, I'm almost glad that the next update is going to break saves. Because I've got a couple of combo saves going and the shit is about to hit the fan on all of them, so maybe it's time to do the responsible thing and start making monogamy saves -- and maybe some fuckboy saves just for funsies. I also wonder if I can get away with some side-girl-only saves, like Lakeyn+Gabi+Tori+Mira or something like that.

Mmm... yes and no. Yeah, you could technically open up a solo path with Elena but... it doesn't take away that to get Elena solo, you have to be a dick towards Layla, which kinda goes against Elena since she cares a lot about Layla. Also to get most rel points for Elena, you have to be on the layla path.
So if all the above is true, then why do you think Elena would accept a relationship with the mc at the cost of her friendship with Layla? Nah, Elena would choose Layla over any guy if she had to hurt her to get a relationship with a guy.
Also, remember in the train ride (after clubbing); Elena kissed Layla first before kissing the mc while being hammered. In vino veritas (Latin: In wine there's truth), right? =P
