I think its just a misunderstanding or one of the students who saw it lied on Zach's behalf. She comes in, Zach is on the ground and he's saying MC punched him. MC says he didn't, but the actual scene Gabi stumbled onto doesn't really help his case.

So I figure she probably just reported what she saw and heard, and it was taken by Adriana as if Gabi was saying MC hit Zach. Misunderstanding from miscommunication. Happens all the time in school. I got in trouble over the same thing once, and I was the kid being bullied in the situation.

Orrrrr, Gabi followed up, grabbed a student or two to ask what actually happened. And for whatever reason, they said MC hit Zach. MC's Parker luck kicking in.
Who at that school is doing anything on Zach's behalf? One of the jocks maybe? Most of the women try to avoid him.

Yeah the Push option would only make sense to me if there was a lesser punishment or none at all or if punch makes you lose points with certain LI. But only Val sort of thought of Zack as a friend at least until the MC told her about his involvement with the Ethan fight.
doubt it will make a significant difference like Adriana letting him come back to school... Nyx is not gonna make a completely different branch where in one he does shit while suspended and in the other he is back in school. So might as well punch him. At most it will be some minor difference in the same scenes/conversations.

yeah it's why I punch him most of my saves only a few I don't just for a chance at a dialogue difference ( Alexis and Layla)

Doesn't necessarily have to be on his behalf. Just against MC. Or another misunderstanding. Gabi happened to pick the student(s) who had a bad viewing angle and the push looked like punch. Like I said, could just be Parker luck, just misfortune and happenstance going against MC.

I think most people will have chosen to punch Zach as he had it coming, so Gabi's telling the truth. The most frustrating thing about the push option is that you may as well have hit him, because the punishment seems (so far) to be exactly the same.
In that case, yeah. Its really the "push Zach" variant that makes this all weird. But also, there is Zach being suspended to consider. It indicates that Gabi didn't just ignore MC's word and isn't just blaming MC willy nilly.

More I think on it, the more it just seems to be "it looked like MC hit Zach, but Zach seems to have hit MC too. Its a he said, she said situation... suspend them both". We're overthinking it, and its really just this mundane reason. That is usually how this plays out irl, too. From my experience at least. No real evidence either way, both sides get punished. Unless one side has rich parents willing to raise a shitstorm.

Yeah that is exactly what happened, someone is lying and there is more to the situation. Posted before but here is what Nyx said about it:

I could see there being bigger implications for the future, especially for the person who intentionally lied if we didn't punch. Maybe bigger punishment for Zach too, for lying. So while not major right now, could see something happening in future.

Well, there we go. Either its just mundane, no ill will, just a bad situation. Or one of the students has it out for MC.

Yeah, like how lying to Adriana about being smacked by Lucas comes up here, where she trusts MC less now even though the lie wasn't malicious or anything. MC having issues with fighting students in the past might things worse; having prior incidents makes MC look like hitting people is just what he does.

Maybe even beating up the kids at Riverside with Nathan might come up again and stack further weight against MC.

Most US schools these days have a zero tolerance policy for fighting, and both parties get suspended or even expelled without any excuses or even if they didn't throw a punch.

Yea I think the punch option doesnt allow you to run that track meet. Plus its funnier to embarrass that little bitch by not touching him.

Zach also got suspended 3 days, even before the MC told Adriana he's the one that started the fight.
And without anyone backing his story(Darryl could back it up, that Zach started it).
Simply being involved in a fight leads to that.

I didn't see anything pointing to that.
The MC goes back to school on friday, the team will travel to the event during the weekend, so we'll have one day back before going to the event, no matter what.

With one day back i have no idea what it will come down to...
Outperforming TJ in passing the baton?
Getting the support from the rest of the team? In which case having a good relationship with Layla and Val will help a lot.
Something with Darryl?

The girls should be able to tell us something in the next few days, even before we are back to school.

Stupid idea but maybe something like everyone got injured. So Mike will throw out a line because he wants to save the competition and "Let's take Mc because he and Darryl are healthy". It would be interesting

I initially thought that sort of thing was where the Val plotline was heading. Our choosing Tori or Layla wouldn't matter because Val is missing after Ethan confronts her. So the one we don't choose ends up filling in for Val. But maybe its like you said, and that beat is coming for MC instead.

Although, I do like the idea of the punches ruining MC's chance to participate. Consequences being a thing is always nice to see.

Just a thought: Could Mike's decision influence the MC's relationship with his daughters? Did the MC fuck Julia? A good indicator is meeting them at the airport and how they greet him there.

Maybe hitting/pushing Zach will affect the MC record. And not the race and competition itself. And if he pushed him, it will be recorded as a "slight argument", and if he hit him, it will be recorded as a real "fight". Such a consequence in the long run. Than what will happen this week. And then it's great that you have sports achievements but you won't get into college or our university. (And then depending on the route you can study with Alexis/Now Nikki or Cara or you won't get into the university you want)

I think it will have half the effect. Mike was presented as a professional. He cares about the students, he cares about the school, and if the athlete (In our case MC) is good in terms of sports he will stand behind him. And if he is bad for his daughters he will only make things worse for him. (Sorry but your technique is weak/ You will not get the plan.) He will be professional but he will make it seem like you fucked up with his daughters.

College admissions in the US have gotten so competitive the non-grade aspects of your teen years matter just as much as the GPA and what classes you took.

And now the question is whether Nyx presents the system as in the USA or it will be its own system. If it is as in the USA I do not know how it works there
