I was but doesn't matter if they were talking about Brooke or John or whoever else. Since John is the only one as an option right now and if we use him as an example it should be the same as John ( we are given a choice no reason why it wouldn't be)

Of course it matters, we get involved in Brooke/Mom in Chapter 12 (I guess with no John) and I'd rather not be involved.

I guess you didn't understand what I was saying. It doesn't matter who we were talking about in this thread because JOHN is the only option right now and there is NO reason why Brooke or anyone else ( Like Andrea if that happens) wouldn't be a choice like John was.
I also disagree with you saying we are involved with Brooke/Mom in Chapter 12 since it was literally just a conversation about Brooke confessing about having a crush on the mother. The MC wasn't involved in that other than listening to her. There was nothing yet to indicate it was going to go beyond that just yet. If there was there would be a choice to try to set them up , or something.
Now if we had to see her hit on Emily or more than I could see your point but there is no harm in a conversation , especially since it does some character building for Brooke as well showing she is most likely off the table for the MC. Which is something important to do especially cause so many want to have sex with Brooke.

It was literally not just a conversation about Brooke confessing about having a crush, it was MC actively promoting her dating his mom - which robbed us the player of player agency. Like I said, I don't want to be involved in her love life.
Edit: It was also made even stranger with the MC telling Brooke about his mom's private life (her sexuality) without so much as discussing it with his mom first.
Edit: Not only that, but he catches an employee invading his mom's privacy and instead of calling the cops or calling her out he treats it like it's something harmless. Which it's not. Especially in this day of cell phone cameras and there's already a plot with another girl having her privacy invaded and she's being blackmailed.

eh I didn't see it that way. I saw it as the MC trying to help Brooke build some confidence for if and when she does / when we get a choice in the matter in the future. Since if I recall the MC was pushing her towards talking to Emily so she can put her name for consideration for the manager job and give her a confidence boost.
I guess I can see your point of view but I still disagree. Cause yeah there was an ulterior motive to give Brooke that push but I don't recall anything showing she went that far yet with Emily. As she is too nervous to make a move right now and she needs that confidence boost before she can.
I more or less saw the MC trying to help her out and not really trying to set them up yet. Since it was clear she isn't ready for that and the MC thought she should go for that job and would be a first step before he can try to do something to set them up later. ( and that is assuming that's the way it will happen , personally I think either it will be a MC choice or we get a choice for Brooke or Emily)

To each their own, I didn't want to be involved in the John thing or the conversation with Brooke. I'm not interested in his mom's love life. There are plenty of ways to introduce Brooke as being a lesbo, it could have been handled a lot better imho.

It's just an incidental conversation, it doesn't have to lead anywhere. I'm not sure why you're so hung up on it, as it's basically forgotten afterwards unless you look at progressing it. And the whole "I can't have Emily so I don't want to see anyone else having a shot" mentality is just weird (generally speaking now, not necessarily saying this is your stance). It's like moms have to be either incest material or born-again virgins, and there's no in-between. Back to you in particular, why are we railing on Brooke (and John) anyway, and not Melissa, who you don't have to opportunity to avoid some of the Emily content with?

It's how I am with every VN, TV show, whatever's, I like the plot focus on the MC and I don't like it straying too much to any of the side characters unless it's important for the development of the MC and as long as it doesn't drag down the pacing of the story.
Melissa is clearly not a romance interest for Mom, the whole kissing thing has been laid out as included merely to piss off the (over whingy) MC and to explain MC's parentage situation. Melissa and mom make that clear in the story. I'm not that interested in Mom's backstory either, but it's part of the MC's soap opera backstory.
Mom can have her love life, just like every other character in that universe. I'm not interested in them, I'm in the story for MC's love life and how I can steer it. It's why I'm playing an AVN and not reading a book.
Full game from datanodes gives me virus warnings, does anyone have the same?

I feel like the majority of players want this tbh I know some don't want to see it or have zero interest in it but kind of feels like alot do. So I can't wait for this to happen.
