First post, but been following the game for a while. Nyx mentioned recently in the discord that Val had got too popular and people wouldn't like her so much after the next update...

Don't think she'll disappear, but guessing she might either go on a date with Zach (persuaded / blackmailed by Ethan) or it will look like she's seeing someone else (gym / motorbike guy?).

Hello and welcome. Nyx says alot of things, I wouldn't pay too much attention to it. What I think she's referring to is the emo date that's coming up and she's unsure of what people will think of the look that she's going with for Val. Both Val and the MC said that they will dress up and go looking the part.
Even if that is Val on the back of the bike, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. My friend has a bike and his daughter goes for rides with him on it all the time. Even if it were to be gym/park guy it wouldn't really bother me. Val and the MC are dating but not in a relationship, I actually like it when there's a bit of competition.
Besides the more I've looked the more I'm sure that it's actually Dani (Gabi's sister) on the bike with who I'm guessing is bartender/mechanic guy that we've seen her with before, at the beach and at the club.

The Ethan drama will be wrapped up, but I really think Zach is gonna stick around. Made to be seen the error of his ways by the end of it. Maybe the gang makes him eat shit for a while. He becomes a true outcast before they ultimately let him back in. Something like that.

Thanks, not particularly worried about Val. Nyx seems to like teasing bad situations and cliff hangers, but I'm pretty sure they'll all turn out ok in the end. Wouldn't mind if there's a bit of competition for Val, but also wouldn't surprise me if that guy turns out to be her brother or something.

As I mentioned earlier, the exact date of the update remains a secret, guarded by three raccoons in trench coats somewhere in a secret basement under an IKEA store. Some say it will happen right after the coffee break, others say it will happen exactly when all the printers in the world finally start working properly. Personally, I think Nyx is just waiting for a sign – for example, a rubber duck majestically floating above the Pacific Ocean and humming the theme song from Tetris. Until this prediction comes true, we won't see an update, but seriously, I think we can count on it happening before the end of the year, and if not, then in January.

It's genuinely one of my favourite scenes, just for the gut punch element of it. I thought it was very well done, and is the sort of thing I wouldn't mind seeing more of in games where you can romance multiple girls at the same time. Sooner or later, someone's going to find out, and chances are they also know each other.

Is there a proper moment you need to start pursuing only one path, before the game ends both paths, or are you screwed from the get-go?

For Layla-Alexis the training camp is the last moment to chose one, if you don't chose there...

Each possible combination has it's own "moments", a lot of them are still hanging by a thread in the current version.
It's guaranteed that it won't be forever, at some point you'll have to answer for your decisions.

Chose the way you go...
Play it safe and avoid nasty surprises.
Risk it all and have fun watching the girls getting insanely jealous(until it bites you).

I appreciate the answer. Yeah, I still haven't made my mind about the main three. So, I was wondering if the game was designed in a way that punished the MC for something he never knew was going on, as that's how I usually play in my first playthroughs. Thanks for the help.

The game gives you "hints", and operates with logic.

To be with Alexis you automatically make a promise that you will talk with Layla during the training camp, if you then chose to avoid the conversation and keep hooking up with Layla, the girls are sisters obviously they will find out.

A girl that lives in a different town like Nikki won't learn about anything Alexis, not unless you tell her.

Then you have girls who are close friends like Erynn-Alexis-Iris, being in a relationship with Alexis they automatically learn of it and it interferes with how the other girls play out.
When it's girls outside their immediate circle, say Alexis and Valeria, you see them meet on screen and have a conversation about it.

So there's a degree of calculated risk.

But if the MC knows about the truth and strings both along, then a bad outcome is reasonable imo. That's what I mostly meant about the design, yeah.

If you're not with alexis, she wont even talk with you so you have to cheat through the other girl. For exampe the erynn/alexis love triangle. Erynn will acted all offended that you are cheating on alexis but she will keep her mouth shut.
Theres one instance where if you tried to fuck erynn but get with Alexis that something bad happens, but other than that, you're safe.... for now.

To me it's mostly done with reasonable logic.

I can tell you nothing you've done so far has done "permanent damage".
Anything i say will be spoilers.

And to complicate matters Nyx(the dev) is planning wholesale changes to the script so the info i say can change when 15 arrives.

It's not Alexis related but if decide to do a Layla playthrough one day, Val will friendzone you automatically at a certain point in the story.

If he's at the point where he learns Layla-Alexis are sisters he might not even know who Val is.

There's no "optimal path" to this game, it's not a test, my favorites are different from your favorites, what i want is different from what you want, and you can't "unlock" everything in one playthrough.
Enjoy the game instead of trying to "beat it".

Know that choices have consequences but they aren't unreasonable, there's some room to getting to know the girls before picking one.

Furthermore this save you are building is gonna get scrapped soon, not much sense worrying about it.
