You just made me realize I keep locking in Melissa no matter what path I take. Might have to hit a fresh run and switch it up this time.I'm just waiting for all of the "What the hell, my saves aren't working." posts.

I've never actually seen these renders as I always help Erynn.

And as soon as John finds out she's his daughter, he's going to have a little talk with the MC, who is going to look so ashamed if:
a. MOST SHAMEFUL: You never helped Erynn in the alley
b. LESS SHAMEFUL but John will still say WTF dude? You helped Erynn but decided not to solve the blackmail

Yeah I wonder if that will be a part of the conversation on their bike ride. Thinking more about it I do/did have a run where I'm not currently helping Erynn but that was because I got caught out two timing (or trying to) Erynn and Lexi, so Erynn is still pissed about that. I did get the letter still from Andres, so we'll see if anything changes if you do the reply and she forgives and will at least be friends.

If Nyx wants to get this blackmail plot ended, that John bike ride sounds like a good time to have a heart-to-heart whatever our Erynn relationship status. Even the Erynn haters will probably have no choice but to help end the blackmail and Ethan because of John.
Negative Erynn Scenarios (no Erynn friendship or Erynn romance path)
- Don't help her in the alley against Ethan
- Help her in the alley but don't help solve the blackmail plot
- Two time her and Lexi and get caught
- Don't choose to keep the letter
- Don't write the response letter

Yup, some tough conversations in these scenarios.
That's another scenario that might be an awkward conversation when he asks why aren't you talking anymore, he might even withdraw his support for the Iris relationship seeing that the MC just goes for every hole presented to him lol.
But surely they are gonna talk about how he received the news and how he feels about everything now.
With every option that is being thrown to us now(letter, John, a second chance to help with the blackmail), we should at least have the chance of getting her back as a friend.

I'm trying to remember if Erynn even tells Melissa (for Melissa to tell John) about the blackmail without the MC helping her. There's a world where neither the MC or John would have any idea about the blackmail right or what's happening with Erynn?
If you walked away at the park after seeing her and Ethan in the cafe, then also walked away in the alley.
I honestly have no idea, that's too fucked up a route, i never even tried.
I know that in the normal, friends/relationship path, she needs a lot of push to tell Melissa.
I also know Ethan brags that Erynn has become "compliant", including having fucked her(possibly a lie, but who knows), if you leave her in that alley.
Ethan (probably)doesn't know that John is Erynn's dad in this scenario either, he only investigates John after the club meeting.
Maybe she will mention something to someone like Alexis or Iris... she does call Alexis for help if you leave her in the alley.
And that will lead to this group of people learning what's going on.

That would be great. All eyes turn to look at the MC when Erynn tells what she's been going through and how Ethan has been abusing her. Rightly making him feel like shit.
As messed up as it is I'm actually glad that you can only get on Melissa's path (or at least the recent scene) if you are helping Erynn. Imagine how fucked up that would be, not helping her with something so horrible AND fucking her Mom. Damn!
No doubt, he should feel terrible for washing his hands off her, and going "not my problem", before hearing the full story...
He reacts like she isn't really his friend, when in truth he is the terrible friend.
And yeah, Melissa requires that you have at least a friendly relationship with Erynn, which is fair.
Melissa detecting that you have a strained relationship with Erynn would naturally become less playful i think.
I also wonder if the script of the latest Melissa scene(presuming it's not a dream) is getting a bit of a touch up?
If you've been dating Erynn, and Melissa always knows it, there's 0 mention of anything...

I'm sure there will be a mention of it if indeed it wasn't just another dream. "OMG what have we done?!" "You're my best friend's son and you're basically my daughters boyfriend!" "What the hell, you need to leave right now!"
It really will be such a let down if it was only another fucking dream..

And now the question is whether Nyx will have the courage to make/finish such an ending/route or if she’ll suddenly soften this scene or route. And to what extent it will be acceptable under Patreon’s rules. It’s also worth mentioning that we’re currently on the remake of the previous updates. And will this route even exist after the remake? Because Nyx is doing update 4 now, and the whole alley scene seems to start around 6.
Maybe after the full remake, there won’t even be a choice to help Erynn or not. It could end up that the MC will be forced to help her anyway. And the new choices might only matter for whether we want to be on Erynn’s love route or just as a friend

The "Walk Away" or "Don't help Erynn" was always meant to be a part of a dead path, the Erynn dark path where she was basically turned into Ethan's sex slave from what I remember.Yeah, but in this case we’re talking about a really bad scenario for Erynn. I definitely think that it would clean up some branching if she removed the don't help Erynn, at least in the alley anyway. Even if she kept the option to "Stay out of it" when she tells you about the blackmail.
The "Write a response" option should hopefully bring them back together as friends at least. I wonder if Nyx will give another yet option to help Erynn, before the end?

But i wonder if the "before" will be changed to match... the script is getting retouched after all, how the scene plays out can change.
Adding an Erynn related choice, exclusive to her route, at the last minute(even the neglected Layla-Erynn gives you a unique choice before showering with Erynn).
Or Melissa refuses if you have Erynn(comparable to Iris who bangs you normally, but hits the breaks if you have Alexis).
I just can't help but think things escalated too fast if you have an Erynn combo.
Conspiracy theory moment... Nyx already knew this but released V14 with a flawed script to get people talking.

Nyx has options on what to do here, even if you fucked up the early choices.
The possibilites here are:
Let things stay as they are, and Erynn gets a bad ending... maybe as Ethan's mistreated GF, maybe embraces being a whore(like the old corruption storyline that got cut, except you are not an active participant).
John, Melissa, Iris, Alexis... solve things automatically without the MC help, MC exposed for being a prick and hated by everybody.
Give players a second chance, fix things, help get rid of Ethan, relationship chances have sailed... but MC and Erynn end the game as good supportive friends...
Of course you have to voluntarily take this second chance, otherwise you fall in one of the bad endings i mentioned before.

I've never not helped Erynn, so didn't know that she calls Alexis if you didn't help.
One of my earlier random theories before the sped up blackmail plot, was that Santi / Zo might get involved. At the club where Ethan meets John Ethan is excited when he thinks John has contacts, particularly with the basketball team. John obviously doesn't really have those links, but Santi does... The groundwork isn't there for it to work any more, there's too little time given than Santi and MC haven't even had their father / son chat yet. But Santi could actually have made the John plan work with Alexis helping...
Anyway, much simpler just to have John beat Ethan to death and get it done!
Taking her comments with a massive pinch of salt, but hasn't Nyx said that she maintains a private alternative version of the game that includes stuff like this? One of the examples was that in her personal version the 'fake erynn' in the last episode actually was Erynn if you weren't helping her, along with a few other sort of ntr things she's added. Seem to remember her saying that none of that content would ever be in the official version of the game, but she might release her alternative version once the main game is done...
Doubt Erynn will get a really bad ending in the main game, would just be too dark and wouldn't go down well. Can see one last chance for the MC to do the right thing, and if not some combination of John / Alexis / Melissa sort it out while the MC ends up deservedly hated!
I've done it in the past, i wanted to explore the consequences and see what happens, it feels really shitty...
Erynn never speaks to you again, Ethan gloats to your face, Melissa catches that there's tension between you and Erynn...
And if you were dating Alexis she breaks up with you over you leaving Erynn behind.
I kinda dropped the save after the Zach+Ethan scene, i didn't feel like carrying it forward, so more recent events after the fight with Zach i have no clue.
I think some friends mentioned that some other things are cut, like the more recent Zach and Ethan at the club scene(at least it's not shown), it doesn't exist if you left Erynn behind.
And i presume John doesn't go to the other club either.
Yes, they are actually perfectly suited for what MC-John were trying to pull.
They could've done that without skipping a beat.
Almost too logical and too easy for Nyx's tastes.
And John is better suited to bashing his skull with a wrench, he has a garage full of them

And in the bad Erynn ending we probably wouldn't see much, just Erynn going in/out of a club accompanied by a random rich guy(old perv? Santiago
?) or Ethan.Hinting at her fate, but without actually showing her... "entertaining" a bunch of old rich dudes.
Showing something like that in all the gory details, if it ever comes, will only be a "what if?" story after Intertwined is complete.
As an alternative to this one, we could have Erynn getting a good ending(aided by John, Melissa, Iris, Alexis, Zo...), but the MC gets exposed and shunned for being an asshole.
And of course the redemption ending, where you help out and MC-Erynn become friends again.
