The exact date of the update remains a secret, guarded by three raccoons in trench coats somewhere in a secret basement under an IKEA store. Some say it will happen right after the coffee break, others say it will happen exactly when all the printers in the world finally start working properly. Personally, I think Nyx is just waiting for a sign – for example, a rubber duck majestically floating above the Pacific Ocean and humming the theme song from Tetris. Until this prediction comes true, we won't see an update, but seriously, I think we can count on the update coming out once you learn to read devlogs and think a little.

Progress Update - Episode 15

Short little update.
Still working on that same scene and will be for a bit longer. I've finished the first part for 1 route and I went back to the start to work on route 2 for that part. I can reuse some of the renders, so it will be a little quicker but in the majority, I still have to switch out characters and also change dialogue and make some smaller changes to the scene to make it have some unique stuff as well and it won't feel like 2 times the complete same scene with different characters. Of course, lots of it will be the same because the same information needs to be provided on each route. I think I'm about half way done with route 2 on the first part.
The second part of that scene will be mostly the same for both routes, at least I try it to make it like that so I won't lose too much time. The second part is also smaller, so I should finish that quicker.
In that first part, I've also included a small snippet of a scene which I normally wouldn't put in this version of the game. There will be some who won't like it and people will talk about it but I want to use this more of an "experiment" let's say. After the release I will ask what you think about it. If you like it and want more of it, I either extend the scene and will add more of those in the future. If the majority doesn't like it, I might leave it as it is, or straight out remove it and that scene never happened. Also, that scene will only be available on 1 specific route.
I don't know if I said it last time, but episode 15 is already bigger than the whole episode 14. And the first day isn't even finished yet. After this big scene I'm working on, there's still the Valeria date. Maybe I should just remove it. No one wants to go to an emo party...
At the same time, I'm also working on the remake of episode 4. There will be some changes regarding the paths. I will make it easier to close a path or both if you're not interested in Nikki and or Cara. There will be a variable pretty early on that dictates whether you want to continue their route or not. Of course, you can choose to continue first and end it at another point but the early variable is meant for quickly passing through the scenes. It will shorten or even fully remove certain scenes for Nikki and Cara.
Both of the characters will also get a new fun scene. Cara's personality will be slightly adjusted. I'm making her a little less shy because it's too close to Layla's route. I'm trying to make her a little more interesting early on. I think in later episodes she gets more out of her shell already because of how experimental she can be. One bad thing for Cara though, the new renders make Nikki look even better... Every time I work on Nikki scenes, she becomes my favourite. I either should make a Nikki game (I have a great idea for it) or have the car hit her... I'm actually having a lot of fun remaking episode 4.
Anyways, that's it for now. Still lots of work to do.

She's just trolling for reactions Brother (and referencing how Nikki was supposed to die in the previous story versions of the game, but thankfully Nyx didn't kill her off then and now we have muscle mommy.)

A Nikki game would be interesting. She could become a MC and all the story, drama and soap opera could happen from Nikki opening her own gym business.

I'm glad that this is shaping up to be a bigger update, the last one was a little short IMO. Even if it does mean that it will take longer.

I'm glad that she's adjusting Cara's path slightly but I feel like she will always be fighting a losing battle when Nikki gets introduced, not to mention all of the other girls.

Nikki will win most of the time, but I'm happy Nyx listened to do some adjustments for Cara's character.

She's a redhead so I'm hoping for a more fiery, confrontational personality but still vulnerable. (Not copying someone like Sage of course.) But something that does set her apart from Layla who also wins most of the time because of her chichis and fun, goofy, innocent, jealous personality.

I do wonder if a potential Nikki game could interfere with the ending of this one... like she needs to be single for us to have a another one? Or she just shows up single a few years after the ending of Intertwined?
There are pros and cons, the con is obvious> Bad ending
The Pro is MORE NIKKI, and this time in a game where she won't disappear for 4 updates before coming back.

Agreed on Cara, maybe it will be good for new players... for me it might be too little, too late... it's tough to shed the "bland" tag when she held it for so long.

Shame we will have to do all of our saves over again with the next update. But what can you do I guess. At least this game doesn't have silly mini games or free roam.

With Nyx propensity for remakes... boy i'm glad she never got any funny free roam ideas.
