At times it goes several chapters without anything(recently Nyx changed for small scenes near the end) happening... for something that is suppoused to be dangerous and urgent... it goes forgotten way too much.

I don't think it's supposed to be exactly urgent -- Erynn has been blackmailed by Ethan for more than 3-4 years in game (he used the video to get her to go to prom with her, so he's filmed her before it, when she was 17-18 i.e. around MC's age or bit younger) Compared to this timeframe a few days in game without anything relevant happening is nothing.

It does feel slow to me, the thing has been hanging since the beggining(even before the reveal, there was this question as to "why Erynn still talks to the guy?") and has barely moved.
At times it goes several chapters without anything(recently Nyx changed for small scenes near the end) happening... for something that is suppoused to be dangerous and urgent... it goes forgotten way too much.


Yes, it's suppoused to be an urgent and dangerous situation... but then people just forget about everything when he's off screen.


It's not just Alexis or the Riverside sisters now... Layla got confirmed GF status, Iris made her move, even Melissa might've jumped the line(still a question mark).
And the line keeps moving? Valeria has a date coming...



While that is true, i'm thinking we are at that point where it's being held back just waiting for the blackmail to end.
Everything else looks in place, the MC has earned her trust back, she's way more comfortable now...

Nyx makes the MC bad in terms of helping things move along, he's always waiting for the girls to come to him, it's always the girls with the initiative... even Layla.
It annoys me that he doesn't do anything to move things along, invite her for a date, say something to her... he's always waiting for things to fall into his lap(literally).

I agree with ffive on this one. The whole point of Ethan's blackmail is to get Erynn to sleep with him. He's not gonna actually do anything, because then he loses his leverage. He's been playing the long game with Erynn since before MC originally left in the first place; he'll wait as long as he needs to until Erynn finally gives in (he assumes).

That's why he needs to get rid of MC so badly. Not because MC provides a way out of the situation, but because Erynn has always had a soft spot for MC and having him suddenly arrive like a shining knight on a white horse just makes the contrast that much worse for Ethan. If Ethan was smart, he'd stop wasting time with Erynn and John and Val and instead he'd get Zach to collect evidence of MC banging <whoever> and use that to show Erynn she's "wasting her time" or "he doesn't care" or whatever.

But Ethan's dumb and a giant paper tiger, so that's not how things will go.

If Ethan was smart, he'd stop wasting time with Erynn and John and Val and instead he'd get Zach to collect evidence of MC banging <whoever> and use that to show Erynn she's "wasting her time" or "he doesn't care" or whatever.

And with most of MCs Zach would probably run out of space on the memory card before photographing even half of banging the MC is doing on a side...

Yes, it's true that he has no plans to seriously hurt or rape her, it is still the most serious and urgent thing we have, everything else is ordinary life stuff.
And going on these jobs and interacting with him puts her in a sad/depressed state, so that still gives it urgency(John renting her for a whole month in theory helps with that).

And as a side effect of the MCs arrival making Erynn feistier and less compliant, this also can make Ethan more aggressive and desperate... he was playing the long game... breaking her slowly... but now that has become way more difficult for him, she sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
That also raises the danger even if it's not his intention to (physically)hurt her.

And yes, showing the MC to be a "quadruple timing" piece of shit would probably break her.

I honestly don't understand what he plans to do with that... and then how Erynn reacts, go cry alone(again)? Cry but still listen? Or stay calm and asks the right questions to the MC and her family?
Good opportunity to show that she has gotten stronger since early game.

How Alexis will react to seeing the results of the Erynn-MC photoshoot?
How will Melissa and Erynn be around each other(provided the sex was real)?
How will Iris react to having a sister and this sister being competition for the guy she likes?
When Nikki/Cara arrive and how will the MC handle this?

Way more interesting than anything related to Ethan... those questions excite me, Ethan i just want to be rid of... throw him in a jail cell and never mention his name again.

I still think it's more of Erynn's fault than Ethan's success. Ethan brags about his crimes left and right, making it easily recordable; he also abuses Erynn in the middle of the street, where she could easily be photographed.

I'd guess Ethan is banking on Erynn not knowing John is her father. So he might want to take advantage of that plan John has to "rent" Erynn, tell her to get "friendly" with him and then show her new blackmail pictures, of her getting cozy with her own father. In theory that wouldn't ruin just Erynn's reputation but John's too, so he gains a new angle here, "if not for yourself then fuck me to protect your daddy".

Hmmm, I’m about 90% sure that:
– Alexis will be mad at the MC because of that photoshoot, and that’s where we’ll get the chance to break the relationship. There’s no other option.
– He won’t handle it, he’ll mess up his relationship with Cara and Muscle Mommy, and we’ll see two girls crying again.
As for the other two, I have no idea what might happen or what the consequences and reactions will be. I don’t even know what I expect myself.

I don't think it'll be relationship ending, but I imagine going skin to skin with a girl regardless of who it is, especially without telling her will likely piss her off and at the very least lose mc some alexis points.
