Been playing Layla's route for over 2 years just to get Elena's heart and overall I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT!!!

I'm not sure Valeria is an addition. Okay, MC met her in Ep5 (of 11) but it's also in game week 2. On Tuesday to be exact. I don't know if one could say it's late. End of Ep10.5 was in game week 5 Monday. We shouldn't forget that Ep1 was just the first in game day till he goes to geography class, Ep2 the first two school days, Ep3 the third school day and Ep4 was the whole Riverside plot, the beach date with Layla/Elena, and the Yellow Snow concert with Alexis. So, if you just look at the plot Valeria doesn't show up late.
Yeah, Elena is included in at least one of the major Layla scenes(that we know for sure)...
In the recent post Nyx also says the update favors "Intertwining" so she's gonna have something.
Will we finally be able to confess our feelings to her and make a move(it's gotta happen someday right?)?
Or more dancing around the issue and sad staring at Layla kissing the MC?
I don't know really, i hope for the first one... I'm mentally prepared for the second one, this way it can only surprise me in a positive way.
She feels quite new, we get the first glimpse of her when we go into the girls bathroom after Layla (i think) and you are correct that this takes place relatively early.
But we only get our first major interaction with her, with choices, on training camp in ep8, between that first glimpse and the training camp we are mostly hearing about her from Zach rather than interacting with her, that's why she still feels like the "new girl".
As for the "self-insert" topic... it mostly revolves around sharing a name with the game dev of course, no one knows what Nyx looks like(besides you apparently), but Valeria is also a little too perfect(raises flame shield), a chick that acts chill and cool, dresses quirky and stylish, everyone immediately likes, is pretty awesome in her field and even can fight... this much "perfection" combined with the name led to the theory.
It's possible that "wish fulfillment" character might be more accurate than straight up self insert...

Well, theories are nice but Valeria is far from perfect. She's a sneaky bitch who is fully aware that Layla has the hots for MC and he's in a serious relationship with Alexis, but that doesn't stop her to hunt him. You're sure that's a perfect girl one want to be? There're way more "perfect" girls in this AVN. Sure, if you only rate the looks, Valeria is top tier in this AVN.

You get a better look when he shows them off to Alexis on the plane, might make it easier to find.

Shit im surprised I like val as much as I do and I love Erynn and Alexis. The dev has done a good job with her as I feel she is maybe one of the weaker characters with a background as of now. Even on my personal Li list she is #13 out of 52 yet I think even on my personal list everyone up to about #25 or so on it has a better character background yet I like her that much.

Because Nyx's animations aren't real animations they are also included in the render count.

*5.5, 10.5 - I combined updates 5 and 5.5, and update 10 and 10.5. This was only to highlight the "Major Updates.". I found it tough to distinguish the render count for 5 and 5.5 separately, so I just combined them and carried that mentality over to update 10.
Update 10.5 had 687 Renders and took 63 Days
Update 10 had 2889 and took 187 Days.
Because Nyx's animations aren't real animations they are also included in the render count.

Nice, but v0.10.5 did not have any new content. That update was code changes and reworked renders for episode 1 and some of episode 2.
Episode 10 actually came out on November 4, 2022. So if 11 drops on the 18th as planned, then that'll be 288 days since the last episode (9 1/2 months or 41 weeks).
