Basically it means dev creating a drama because she wanted to create a drama, regardless of whether or not it's logical choice, needed choice, wanted choice etc.

It's a common phrase actually and not hard to understand. Doing X for X's sake, I think you may encounter in the future.

This has to be most common and most realistic "drama". I would say it happens in every other relationship. And you have a choice to accept drama or reject it. So again, for fk sake, how is it drama for drama sake ?

How is it not drama for the sake of it, especially with the timing when you have to choose ?

You simply get no choice for an Elena route without being on a Layla path, there is no apparent reason for it.
The MC finds her cute, there was the bar scene and kiss early on, they get along well, spend time together etc and the problem isn't Elena not being interested or rejecting the MC advances for whatever reasons, but that she is for some reason the only LI the MC (player) can't make any advances on (or even showing interest in her), just because.

Okay, let's try it one last time.

Developers create AVNs, right? They make some choices with their stories. When they make these choices, some of them not choose put MC's lifelong crush's best friend to sit next to MC in a flight with hundreds, then create that best friend that fall for MC. Or while MC looking for that crush put someone behind a dumpster who happened to looks exactly like they were looking and so on. Nyx chose things happen that way, she made it. Created these 'drama' because she wanted to create a drama. Some other devs don't go that way. The sentence really was not that hard to understand.

How did you reach the conclusion I want mod, flattening the choices, seeking harem game etc. it's beyond me.

This isn't fate or the divine at work here.

You hang out with Layla (as friends) and Elena at the same time, meet them at the same day (actually you meet Elena first).
I'm interested in Elena from the get to go, while having no interest in Layla romantically....so obviously i make a move on the girl i have no interest in, instead of the girl which actually interests me, because i can't ask the girl which interests me out on a date otherwise...makes absolute sense...:rolleyes:

If you'd meet Elena only when you are in a relationship with Layla it would be a different matter.

To make it even more jarring, you can make a move on pretty much any other girl, from the miles high club with a stranger to your teacher, but with Elena you can't and there is absolutely no fuking reason given as to why, with any other girl it is the players choice if you want to show interest.

If that is not clear Nyx needs to rework that part of story (again!)...

What does it matter if you hang out with Elena because Layla is the one who invites the MC ?
There is no romance going on at that point, why would Layla being interested in the MC stop the MC (player) to keep it friendly with her and instead go for Elena ?
The MC has feelings/interest for the girls we decide to.

Also Elena isn't staying away from the MC, you get the choice to spend time with Elena alone, like helping her with the cheer training at her home.

By the time the training camp happens you had time to spend time with Elena, you can reject Layla up to this point without breaking her heart and still be good friends with her...

No, it is drama for drama's sake.
If Nyx wanted to she could have given the choice to go for Elena at various points in the story, but she locks her behind Layla for drama.
She gives you the choice to go for Elena only at the worst possible time, not like when you were at the beach with Elena and she makes it pretty clear she is interested in the MC, it's obviously done for drama.
