Nyx has already said that MC was held back a year in high school to cover his age change, so if he's just turned 20 at start of story he can still be in the same class as an 18 year old who has a birthday coming up.

Unfortunately that brings other issues. Someone who is about to turn 19 would no longer be in 'high school' as given the month they were born they would have been in the previous years classes.

I've said it before, this is just yet another example of where Nyx is nowhere near as smart as she likes to think she is. Continually screwing her own story and drowing herself in her own convulated plot and script changes.

Simply put them in first year of college not last year of high school, doesn't have to clash with Erynn and Alexis as there can be more than one college in a city.

I believe she wanted to make it clear that Eryn is much older than the MC.

The first time I played, I thought it was kind of dumb to control a high school MC.

I like Layla, but to be honest, because she seems much younger compared to the other LIs, I only have one route with her and didn't develop much affection for her. She would be exactly the best friend who stays in the friendzone. However, I don't remember her being that foolish for her age. I'm trying to recall, and it might be because of her ex-boyfriend?

You're right, it's more like a stalker, and there's really that part with Spanish and Japanese. It's just that I found that part of her cute.

The first part of this update is finally finished. All scenes before MC goes to Alvarado/Riverside, depending on whether you're on a Nikki/Cara path are done.
In totality, this update will consist of 3 parts. The Friday part which I finished, the Riverside/Alvarado part and lastly part 3, when MC is back on Sunday.
There will be 2 scenes before MC heads to Alvarado. Those scenes will be one for Nikki, one for Cara. If you're not on either path, you straight-up go to Alvarado and meet Nathan.
I'm working on the first Nikki part at the moment. Once finished I'll do the Cara scene before working on the Nathan scene. After Alvarado, there will be another Nikki and Cara scene before MC is heading back to Madison Springs. There will be more scenes with several LIs on Sunday, including Layla, Alexis, Erynn and other smaller scenes which I keep to myself.

I haven't made a decision yet on what I'll do regarding splitting the episode or not. Reading all your comments, it was about 50/50. At the moment, I favour not splitting but things can change.

I have a vacation coming up in a few weeks. During that time, I won't be able to work on renders, but I will continue writing the scenes and also since the first part is finished, I'll completely code it and do some testing. It's probably then when I decide what to do with it. If it's worthy of releasing or rather wait until the full episode is done.

Hell yeah, more Nikki!!!!

So a bit more than 4 months and we're a third done, which would put this the next update as having a full release date in early 2025 (since Chapter 12 came out in February 2024).

I think it's more likely she'll kill me because I ask for so many renders of Nikki from her. But most of the DEV support currently probably comes from F95. There was a dev this week who asked his followers where they discovered his game on Patreon.

Yeah, F95 is a really good way for exposure, which is why some devs release here for free before moving on to another platform. Tune in to the Show and De Luca Family devs both did this before putting their games on Steam, and Intertwined got a big following through this site. Unless you're a long-time developer with a history of past success (like Dr. Pink Cake with Acting Lessons, or Mr. Dots with Dating my Daughter and Melody), players aren't going to pay (either in time or money) for something that might be garbage.

I think it maybe easier to simply remove that one flashback scene with Iris from the game than to change the MC's age and try to fix all of the above.

If it's just to remove the obscene scene, I would agree, but I disagree with removing the entire flashback. I thought it turned out really well, and I loved that young Iris.
