VN Ren'Py Intertwined [v0.14.1] [Nyx]

Only at my first run, so take this for what it is, a feedback based on limited time spent on it, but there's something that doesn't convince me.

I like the game (VN), but I get a feeling of "this will happen no matter what" specifically when speaking of girls getting interested in the protagonist, no matter how commited to s single LI the MC is... one can't feel like Zach doesn't have a point.

I don't know if what I wrote makes much sense, it's just an aftertaste I'm getting by playing this VN.

You are not entirely wrong, with some girls simply acting nice towards them turns them hopelessly in love with the MC, the only way to be "safe" is to ignore and be unresponsive.
As Maviarab just pointed out this is very common to AVNs.
Maybe i'm making excuses... but the MC being a pussy magnet actually feels somewhat justified in Intertwined, Layla is an innocent girl with her first love(same thing works on Cara), Erynn has a big history with him, Iris is his ex... with a number of girls he has a head start or an easy path.
Compared to some others were the dude is a random freshman in college and suddenly everyone is throwing pussy at him, even seniors and teachers.

Wether you think he looks good or not is up to each individual... but he's designed to be something of a cool dude that already has tatoos and rides a bike while in HS... and can get work as a model if he wanted to.

Zach... is another cna of worms because the game made it impossible to be on good terms with him, and even if you clear the way for him he strikes out on his own, just hopeless.

The MC being a pussy magnet is pretty much the standard in AVN's though, this is hardly surprising.
I actually like how the points system works in Intertwined and picking the right options, you will friend zone people off pretty quick. And your interactions will change quite alot, for instance Layla will offer to be your wingman in setting you up with Valeria. Compared to say Unbroken where I turn down Amrit like 100 times and still she tries again, which just made me feel bad for her.

Also, FUCK ZACH!!

I was simply giving Valeria as an example of how Layla can pretty early on turn from a love interest to a good friend. I've always found it pretty easy to be faithful in Intertwined if I want the MC to be, which is why it's one of my favourites.

Also Nikki or Cara will only turn up IF you call Haley after speaking to your Mom, just a little tip for you. So you can still have fun without unwanted visitors.

Nono I get it, and she's the perfect example, every other scene (in the path I'm on) the MC is getting more and more chances to jump on her, at least until the beach scene (didn't get any option in the last running scene), and I've tried my hardest to pick the worst option or ignore her completely when involved, the "normal" outcomes would be:

1. She progress a sa character, gets it and stops popping up as a LI option (e.g. like in the case of Layla)
2. The game gives you an opportunity to tell her "listen girl, don't know how to make it more clear, but I don't give a flying f about you, ok? No hard feelings we can remain friends... maybe"

The guy below you posted a meshup with BADIK, now I have no idea how long this VN will become once (if?) completed, but also in Badik you got relatively early the opportunity to tell Josy/Maya they are just friends, to f up beyond redempion anything happening with Bella (Cathy's panties in the car), and at the MC's birthday you have to hard pick either Sage or Jill, etc...

Just reached the end, and as mentioned above, yes the last scene involving her (last morning run) there's no more option to interact with her, but the one before (the beach) still was pretty much there and that means no idea how many scenes involving her as a character where I either ignored her, picked someone else, etc...

And that's exactly my original point, I like this VN, pointed out something that in my opinion just "stood out", then again opinions are like a.holes everyone got one.

Standard? sure but not every AVN game is this way. I can't name any here, but I've played over 100+ AVNs so, I know what I am talking about. I think it also depends on the AVNs you are playing.

Really? I didn't get that feeling of "Friend zoning people" at all. Just the opposite. Forced to choose between people or forced into a sexual situation or etc. Again, can you play this game avoiding everyone? or are you forced down someone's path/a situation? I get some games will force you while others let you finish the whole game without you ending up with a LI.

It's all good though. The game is just not for me. Not every game is meant for everyone, after all.

Well, I didn't get the impression of what you said, although with Layla I had that seldom that an LI is not to my liking but here is one, and it was annoying, more so that if you like her cheerleader friend you have to deal with her.
but looking from another point, I think that this behavior is more realistic than the fuck off IRL if you turn somebody down, their feelings still are present and some are more persistent than others.

Haven't played that many, probably around 20-30? But to be fair I totally understand a story that needs to be driven in a certain direction (well unless it's just a lewd scene generator kind of VN hehe), that's also why there's usually main LIs and side LIs.

I'm probably 200% wrong, and if not yet might be proved wrong with future updates, but if I have to list who the main LIs are in Intertwined (also considering the name of the game):

And that's the leitmotif of this VN, which is good, again at the very high risk of been proven wrong, Valeria doesn't fit into that mold, so I'd consider her as a side LI, and as such (so far) it seemed a bit too forced.

As far as I recall only day 1 was done or almost done. there is still 2 days left from what I recall and I think Nyx said in the last progress update she is going on vacation and will decide if the update will be split in 1/2. So there is a chance it could come out sooner than we think , if she does split it
