The sequence of events is this:
1. Mc gets mad, leaves Erryn's backyard, goes to what is likely his garage, and seethes.
2. Erryn turns to Ethan and asks, "Why do you always have to bully him?" Then Ethan responds, and Erryn tells him it's not funny. Alexis peaces out. That exchange takes maybe a minute.
3. While they're arguing, MC has a convo with Alexis, goes into his house, has a convo with his mom, and then goes to talk to Erryn
4. The argument ends, and MC runs into Ethan on his way back to Erryn; Ethan lies to MC, which sours MC for good.

I think what happened was Ethan bullying MC pissed off both girls. Alexis felt sorry for the MC and went to talk to him, while Erryn gave Ethan a piece of his mind and tried to stop Ethan from bullying him. I imagine Alexis didn't have to look for him; she just followed the direction he was going and saw him sitting in front of his garage.

Then the MC started acting out, would ignore Erynn when she would try and talk to him. Getting into trouble at school until Emily had the idea to send him to Andres, hoping that he would straighten him out I guess. Which was a bit silly, but hey it needed to happen for the storyline so I will take a big dose of suspending disbelief with that one.
Erynn then tried to get in contact with him through Emily but he was then ignoring them both by then so she sent him some letters, which he tore up and threw away. I really wish we could read those somehow, but I guess so does the MC. I guess the only option would be to ask Erynn herself what she wrote, but it's hardly the same and would she admit or even remember some of it after 5 years?

It's generally believed that John is Erynn's father, meaning that the Iris having a crush on Erynn storyline is going nowhere (there's no indication that Erynn is interested in girls anyway).

Well... ask any girl/lady on the street if she made "experiments" with her best friend in the past, and if they are honest, 95% will say they have or will slap you... that doesnt mean anything.

If you fool around with someone, it is highly likely there is at least some attraction involved. I'm not convinced Erynn is not interested in girls until we find out how deep that rabbit hole goes.

I didn't check images next to each other to confirm it, but I'm sure the blonde guy in Melissa's flashback had some of the same tattoos John has (only specifying "some" as a disclaimer because he could have added more since).

There are some differences but I think they're similar enough to say they're the same person.

Yeah, that would certainly seem more likely to me based on the tattos. Obviously it's just anecdotal on my part, but if one brother is heavily into tattoos, you'll often find the other tends to be as well.

Pretty sure John mentions Erynn looks like someone he used to know when they meet at the garage. So him and Mel definitely have crossed paths.

The issue still is that even if it was his brother who fathered Erynn, Iris would still be her cousin and that's still a Patreon no-no.

Yea, between the tattoos, the blonde hair, and MC's comments on how much Iris and Erynn look alike, I'm hoping for a twist. Otherwise, that angle was too easy to figure out.

I don't think that every twist or reveal needs to be hard to figure out to be effective. Sometimes things can be right under your nose and you don't see them. I've experienced that myself in life. For me it's about when will Melissa and John see eachother and then watch the penny drop.
