9-12 months for bigger update is usually on par for game like this. Especially when the story is so far along and become more complicated.

Not that I agree that Nyx is doing this, but, I agree with you about Patreon. I think a lot of devs tend to take more time for each updates, since they realize that they will end up making more money for less work, and not enough people keep them accountable for doing this. They have no real deadlines (except the ones they impose on themselves), and can lie about the number of hours they put on their work.

At the end of the day, people could easily pledge for a couple of months and take a break if they think the content shouldn't take this long/cost this much, and pledge back when it come out. It's on them to decide what the game is worth to them, nobody is forcing them to pledge each month of the "off time".

At least, it's far from WVM level of milking patreon.
Nyx did present the opportunity to split this update in 2, many months ago.
Most people said "nah i prefer to wait"(i was in favor of the split, i understood how much she still had to go through) so players 100% made their bed in this one, complaining that "it's taking too long" falls in deaf ears.

It doesn't seem like it's far off now, let's see in the next blog what kind of progress she made since the last, maybe she'll finally give an estimate... late November, early to mid December or Christmas(or later than that).

Any good game on this site takes damn takes a year or more to update, what makes people think this game would be different

Last time I checked 9 months isn't a year seems this shit is going on in every thread crying about development cycle

No one should be surprised. The majority of users here have no idea how these novels are created. They also know nothing at all about the circumstances under which they're created. Just yesterday I read someone who seemed to seriously believe that it was possible to create 1000 renders in four weeks. For a game created by a single dev. The fact that people think it's all about the renders and completely ignore the programming, testing and post-production part says it all. It's especially funny when DAZ/Blender games are compared to HS or when people constantly refer to games where an update is released every two months but only has half an hour of playtime and only around 200 renders. Personally, I prefer to wait 10 months and then have several hours of new playtime and a four digit amount of renders. There's nothing more annoying than a game that ends when you've just got back into it. In my case, I voted in Nyx's poll not to split the update but to deliver it completely.

So true only some AVN's I can tolerate playing smaller updates ( month to month) but this is not one of them haha. tho if the split update won id probably still play the split cause that cliffhanger and probably would see the Erynn and Val Beach date.

Yeah thanks for being honest about the Patreon bit. Just like games like Star Citizen and others I know it happens no matter how much people pretend to ignore it. I mean I understand why they do it. Business wise it makes sense but was just wondering why a game like Summer Heat which I feel like is similar In production value gets more updates frequently than Intertwined. Still looking forward to chapter 13.

can't compare a game like SH to this with all the branching. besides the dev time getting much worst as of late on that game . if you want to compare dev time of this game to others you need to find one with alot of branching otherwise it really isn't a fair comparison. But I did hear people say Nyx is usually on the faster side in the past only recently been slowed down and I think Nyx said the next 2 updates are on the bigger side of things.

You're 100% right. It's a hell of a lot of work. I tried blender and spent a month working on my idea :)

Perhaps earlier but once those paths start getting in the game it takes a while. Don't know one game Im playing that's currently less than a year.
that depends what's looking for but i like stwa's games but those might not suit you.

I do find it particularly ironic when people come to a pirate site and complain about developers "milking" supporters, while they are here downloading the developers hard work for free.
It's like going to someones house, getting a free meal and then complaining because it wasn't cooked as you like or they didn't offer you dessert.

Hi guys, I'd like to ask how you see the potential relationship with Valeria. Do you think it'll be possible to have a romance with her in future updates?
We don't know, only Nyx knows. I do hope that Val becomes a confirmed LI (love interest), but we shall see. Valeria has had more content, especially solo content with the MC than some confirmed LI's
