In today's world it's not always as cut and dry. Revenge porn is a crime in a lot of places now for the releaser. Even moreso if it's recorded without consent by a 3rd party and released by them. Even better if you can make a case that it was done with malicious intent. Where it is a crime, many places are supposed to take into account that the person is the victim of a crime and it should not be held against them. That'd be like holding the person that got purse snatched, assaulted, mugged, or whatever responsible for what happened in all cases for the rest of their life.

Since the story takes place in the USA, it'd likely fall under what their state/federal law does. I know when MC left Madison Springs he went to Arizona, as he said so. But I can't recall offhand if in-game they said what state Madison Springs is in.

My PE teacher in highschool (early 90s), was kicked out of school when some parents found out it was her ass on some posters for an underwear company, and you couldn't even see her face.
