I find that some imperfections can definitely add to a character. Gives some contrast, and keeps them out of the uncanny valley which is something I notice when a character looks just too unnaturally flawless.
100% this all that stuff doesn't matter to me either probably why I have a hard time noticing what I do not like about a characters appearance once I like the character alot.
I don't get playing these just for the porn, honestly. Not when actual porn is so easy to find and stream these days, both real life and cg. The thing that draws me to these instead is there's an actual story most of the time. Plus you can get to know and grow attached to the characters.

No idea if the game is nearing it's end. Some of the other folks might have a clue but our author can be tricksy. Playlist... you are kind of on your own there. Game doesn't seem to have much music but I turn it off anyway. Personally I have a nice big Downtempo playlist on Spotify that I load up for reading. I like to just look some lofi music up on youtube but also I find looking up Summer's Gone playlist works quite well for most AVN's that have no sound.

Considering sheer amount of paths, variables and girls, if I didn't love the VN as much as I do, I'd probably just drop it for few years and come back once it's finished/almost finished.
We are still 2 months(maybe a bit less, a month and half perhaps) from where Nyx wants to end the game, there will be a time skip(no idea how long we will skip), but tipically we go day by day with updates going anywhere from a single day to 3/4 days.
Maybe this render should stay on screen for some extra time while Iris has some internal thoughts wether to send it or not.
