A lot of people seem to think John is likely to be one of the two characters that Nyx has mentioned will die. Who knows, but maybe because Iris knows that MC got John involved in the blackmail plot she might blame him if he does die? Or it could just be Nyx messing with people and any deaths have nothing to do with the blackmail...

I doubt it's going to be a "breakdown" or certainly not openly anyway. Erynn is totally unaware of Iris's crush and just thinks that she is her friend. I suspect that Iris will have to somewhat pretend to be happy, while also being a bit heartbroken. Though like I said before it would be funny if Iris said to the MC "Is it bad that I want her even more now?"
It would be quite an Iris thing to say IMO.Nyx says alot of stuff tbh, I prefer to see what she does rather than what she says. Because more often than not they are very different things.

ohh you're right, maybe Iris involvement will become more stronger when she found out Erynn is her sister tho.
And i kinda curious too, i have strong feeling that Iris will become major LI in the future, maybe for the ending too. Since i found out, Iris is one of the girls who can be "creampied" multiple times, maybe later will have scene when we found out she was pregnant. I got this theories when i play Nikki and Lexi path, and MC found a doubt that both of them pregnant because they're puking at the toilet.

Joking aside I think it would be a bit strange for John to now play the overprotective dad to Erynn so soon after finding out, they are still strangers essentially. Being even more determined to help her out of the Ethan situation is one thing but trying to tell the MC what to do in terms of romancing Erynn is another.
I could see it as a "Iris has more feelings for you than you know, so be careful with her heart." Especially if you chose to fuck her in the last update, which was pretty obvious, he's not stupid. The whole garage would smell like sex, also how Iris is afterward.

Iris has to be considered a Main Girl, to be honest, especially with extra narrative story and extensive background she has been given. Be a bit weird if she wasn't.

He knows about Erynn since one day. He has no say in it. Although it must be said that he generally has no say in these matters. Not even with Iris. Fathers should stay out of their daughters' decisions.
And before a debate breaks out: I was referring to the John/Iris/Erynn situation. Parents (of both sexes) should stay out of their children's (of both sexes) partner decisions. It's the children's life, not the parents'. One can try to teach the children the own values and how to recognize good people, i.e., suitable partners. But one have to stay out of it.

About John doing all this song and dance about introducing a girl to her father... "hey Erynn this is your fath... oh never mind he's dead" would be a peculiar choice.

John was very hands off when it comes to the MC and Iris, still is.
I would expect him to be similar when it comes to Erynn.
The one thing that can make him rise up and put the MC against the wall is if he is fooling around with both Iris and Erynn, i can see John coming up and saying "this game you are playing with my daughters is gonna hurt them both and i won't stand for that", and ask that you be honest with them.
If you keep your distance from Iris in the present, he has no reason to say anything about MC and Erynn, just like he never interferes with MC-Iris.
I agree, with all her background and long connection to the MC she's built for more than a quick fuck and creating tension for other routes.
Nyx creates so much story and connection for her side characters that is natural for them to become mains.

Oh sure, I don't think she outright lies but she seems to like saying things that are intentionally misleading. I doubt she's lying about the deaths exactly, but she knows that people will assume they're related to the blackmail plot and they could just as easily be very minor side characters later in the story. Still quite like guessing about it though!

Maybe its Rachel and Ethan who died? Since in my playthrough, MC hammered Ethan 2 times and one of them ended up as Fatality hahahha

Hey during my recent run focused only on Cara-Erynn-Gabi (sorry couldn't resist the temptation of that latina), there is a scene when John goes to a bar to get to know who is Ethan, and then he is harassing Erynn outside the back entrance where MC is waiting. If MC intervenes, then there is the option of

Well, proud to say I was the first one in this thread who mentioned that because I've done it!
As you can see there aren't any consequences yet. We all don't know if there'll be some in the future.
None, it's just a little joke for fun, the game procedes as if you punched him just once and moved on.
This used to be a common joke after the first "MC punches Ethan" scene... "i beat him up so much that his head should've turned into a puddle of blood", some people here joked that there should've been a fatality screen.
Nyx decided to include the joke... but in practice the game acts like you bashed him just once no matter how many times you click.
