If those two scenes are relationship specific, by process of elimination: one scene is obviously the Val scene.

I agree with 3J1E that the other scene must be Erynn related, possibly letter or no letter related. What else could it be? If she had planned to write this 2.5 years ago, it has to be Erynn related. (And Melissa related if you banged Melissa for real.)

The Riverside sisters are not in Madison Springs yet. Lexi and Layla have nothing going on since the barbecue was cancelled. Elena has been put on the backburner to finish the blackmail plot.

It doesn't make sense to give it to another lady since the priority is to finish the blackmail plot and an Erynn scene will raise the stakes even more.

Val automatic elimination, she has a different scene.
Alexis and Layla, likely to be at the BBQ(where we won't be ), maybe they ditch but it's unlikely.
Elena also highly unlikely.
We just had the Iris scene, it's not gonna be another one... and Nyx also mentioned her being pushed back.
Gabi... no way, no Gabi scenes requires 2 years planning(and i say this as a Gabi fan), the scenes are just fuck or not? Also mentioned to be taking a back seat by Nyx.
Erynn... maybe.

Could it be a Santiago scene? He's also likely to be at BBQ...

Who would most likely be at a movie theater among the side characters that the MC has interacted with already?

Brooke - possibly
Ximena - remote chance but I don't see a big tv, net streaming star showing up at a public theater
Gigi - might be since she doesn't have any path conflicts
Tori - a movie fan? Well, she definitely needs more nuances other than being the way she is.
Sha'Carri - is set for the relay meet
Santi - ?
Zach - highly unlikely, we'll be seeing him next time when Val gets involved or at the height of the blackmail plot finishing
Gabi - possibly too
Zane - ?
Jenna - from the modeling shoot

Maybe we spot Ximena leaving the theater in disguise, wearing a trench coat, hat and sunglasses
Then she invites us to stop by her house

The only LIs that make sense are Erynn, Alexis and Melissa and Erynn feels like she would fit best. Possibly Melissa discussing the fallout from the previous night, but that doesn't feel like something that would have been planned for a few years.

I read 'relationship-specific' as being a LI as well, but I suppose it doesn't have to be. It's possible that's just Nyx being intentionally misleading though, if it's not a LI then Santi is a great shout.

Just a thing, the next update IS going to require a new save anyway since she is making many changes.

Nyx may or may not change the Layla / Erynn choice at the club, but either way the next update will include script changes and will break current saves. If she's going to make the change then this is the time I guess! Not clear what exactly the changes will be or if they'll make much difference to the game. Probably mostly hidden tweaks to set things up better for future plot.

Maybe it's just me, but when I think about re-running a complete playthrough for basically every LI in the game, just to get back the saves this will break, it kind of sucks some of the life out of this. There's definitely some LI's I'm much more interested in than others, and there's runs that won't be too much of a chore, but for others, SKIP button saves the day. Anyway if the dev have painted themselves into some kind of technical corner, I guess it's a required step. I can imagine some players will not bother, so I hope this doesn't negatively affect the game as a whole. Thanks for sharing the info.

I think the phone calls will maybe be aligning characters for the final stages of the blackmail plot. As far as I remember on my solo Erynn path she has told Melissa, but hasn't told Alexis. But on other routes Alexis does know about it. So one call would be making sure Alexis knows on all routes. Can Melissa not know about it? Or aligning things whether you punched Ethan outside the club or let Erynn go inside to meet John. Stuff like that so there don't have to be too many variants of resolving the blackmail.

What Nyx means by relationship specific is:
The scene only triggers if you have a relationship with "girl X".
Which is why going home alone (to jerk off) is a possibility.
Santiago is something that is present in all playthroughs, it's impossible to have closed the door on him at this point.

I can't think of anything in regards to Alexis that would be so important that it was written 2.5 years ago... it would have to be a major reveal, not just another date...

Nobody is happy about this reset(and it isn't the first time), but what are we gonna do, she's sticking to it...

No doubt there will be a lot of skipping on paths i'm less interested...
On the girls i like better i can enjoy "oh this scene was slightly different before", but on the other ones...

But just because the scene is relationship specific doesn't necessarily mean that the scene needs to actually be with the LI themselves. For example - if you're on Alexis or Layla's paths then they could tell Santi about you at the BBQ and he could come to see you.

That's probably overthinking it though, still think Erynn is by far the most likely!

So if you are not on any of those paths, MC has nothing to do the rest of the day. So I have a question for you. As of now, minor spoiler warning, I've sent him to the movies, and that will end the day. But would you rather have a "neutral" scene, which you will get if you aren't on one of those 2 paths and where you get a choice to continue or just go home? For example, you meet someone at the movies. Of course, it can't be just anyone. Most LI have a certain scene where you will meet them again, so I can't put those there. But there are a few characters who also have nothing going on for that time slot. For example, Tori, Darryl, Zach, and some background characters,... So, I'll leave it to you if you want an extra scene there, or just leave it as it is. Keep in mind that if you want an extra scene, that will also take time to create, because nothing has been written for that scene.

If it's going to delay the next episode for the sake of creating a scene with Tori and Darryl or Zach, then I would rather she didn't bother. I couldn't care less.

The Lucas plot is one thing I'm interested to see if Nyx changes when she revamps the script. He seemed to be set up to be a major plot point on Layla's path and then just disappeared and hasn't been mentioned in a while as far as I remember. If he is going to be a thing going forward his plot could be worked into the game and developed better.
