If Ethan manages to beat everyone else to telling Erynn about John then that will be beyond stupid IMO. Also what is the leverage that he even gets from that? "Oh everyone is lying to you, except me."
Ethan's whole game has been about isolating her. Which he seems to have been fairly successful at prior to the MC's return. His telling her information that her mother and the MC knew but didnt tell her would likely piss her off at least in the short term.

Exactly. Ethan is all about making her feel alone so he can control her better. If Ethan were to succeed with this, she would have no one (except Lexi, maybe?) possibly to support her since withholding the "John" information would undermine her trust in Melissa and the MC.

I wonder if Nyx even wants Ethan to be successful with Erynn. As far as I understand, she wants to end the whole Ethan "issue" as soon as possible.

No. There's still a whole day left to make and the Val date, as far as I'm aware Nyx is still working on the chapter 5 remake. Feb or March 2026 would be my guess.
Didn’t Nyx mention in one of the devlogs that the remake wouldn’t affect the speed of making the new episode? Doesn’t change the fact it won’t happen this year, unless the second day’s really short

Can we expect EP15 before 2026?

It's extremely unlikely we'll see anything before february.
Like Kaskaze says it would have to be an extremely short day 2.

The remakes are always going to slow things down a bit, even if Nyx already has the old scenes to use as base... The computer still needs to render new images.
Re-writing the scenes is something that can happen while other things are going on... but rendering will always take time away from something else.
So even if she has 3 rendering computers(i don't know if that's the case), it will slow things down somewhat.

Earlier episodes do tend to be a lot more economical with their use of renders, so it's not like it's a 50/50 split.

Let's see what's the plan here...
Nyx can either use this to show Erynn becoming tougher and not as naive around Ethan...
Or to create more unnecessary drama(all drama surronding Ethan is just dull and unnecessary in my book).

It's pretty obvious that it will have an effect, if she's working on one thing then it's obviously going to take time away from other things. The last 4 sets of preview pictures have all been from the Chapter 4 Riverside remake.

I would say more of a failure for Erynn than a Ethan's success

This whole thing around him, it's past it's sell by date...

His plans make no sense, he's not credible as a villain, the drama around him is weak... if Erynn falls for his tricks it will just be annoying and tiresome
If she acts reasonably, doesn't let him get to her and listens to others... it can show the progress the character has made since day 1.

No argument here; Erynn has a robust support structure now, unlike before.

Yes, i think it's a good opportunity to show her growth... show she learned her lesson, isn't gonna fall for simple tricks and puts her trust not just the MC, but on the others who are there for her.
If we go with the usual "OMG YOU LIED TO ME, I CAN NEVER TRUST YOU AGAIN", it will feel incredibly frustrating...

Unfortunately... i believe the "fatality" was just as easter egg, it has no actual impact on the game...
Ethan isn't about to pass out on his kitchen because of the brain damage the MC gave him... as much as i would love this ending :devilish:

Let's hope that's the case and that no one else gets dragged into it.

Best writing option and character development.

And this forces Ethan's hand to do something desperate which will expedite his end.

Maybe Erynn will have the dumb/annoying reaction... And Iris will be the person who fixes things.
"Hey dummy, stop worrying about who told you this or that... we are all a big family now, we are all in this together".
Iris to the rescue :ROFLMAO:
The lesser evil writing option but would be a nice, cheesy emotional moment with humour.

Without even trying to cop a feel?
Iris will change from trying to get Erynn naked to "put some clothes on Erynn... i don't need to see your (amazing) boobs" :ROFLMAO:
I can see Iris still peeking and still thinking twice about copping a feel.

Or prepare for Nyx trolling us with both Emily incest teases and Vancura sisters incest teases.
