Since this game is so convoluted and not as rewarding to play as most regular type VN'S to me, it is painful to do replays. And by that, i mean that this game is much more like a drama creation engine and a punishment simulator than a happy fun time with most girls. Often enough, it pidgeon hole you into bad choices by virtue of not offering you a non-bad choice or a choice period. It feels like the percentage of decent person choices vs scumbag/cheater/pitfall/manwhore choices is like 1 to 10.
My most liked route thus far is Nikki. Not because she's my best girl nor her story, but because she lives in a different city away from all the drama from the school girls relationships. I can just play her and totally ignore all the school girls or be friendly with them, its like a dream.
Another example, my second route is Elena. I like the model, but to get to her, you are forced to have a relationship and breakup with Layla. From the moment the MC say he's falling for Elena, he should have options to just stop dating Layla or flirting. But you are forced to continue only to push/insert a drama moment. You cannot be "just friends" with Layla and move to Elena. For me, games are an escape to relax, not to have more RL type shit. A normal amount is ok, but here it feels forced on you at all points.
My main girl is long hair Iris. Usually when a game gives you a girlfriend, i stick with her for my main route, and since they just accepted they moved cities and never really broke up and still would be together if not, i still consider her the girlfriend in my mind. But with Iris, accumulating enough points for her to want you back badly is the most annoying pain in the ass thing to do. You have to be on ASP, which means you have to be indifferent to Eryn (her sister which will cause more drama) and Alexis, then be forced to date Alexis just to have the events with Iris which you will then need to dump her. It's like the game feels designed to make the player feels like a scumbag when he pursues half of the girls. With the knowledge thus far that she moves back, one could say, i'll just not interact beyond friends with anyone until she comes, but you cant even do that because it prevents you to access the events which gives points with her.
I like the game, and im invested enough that i want to see the end of the story, but it is so frustrating to me. Oh, and there's way too many girls.
