Yeah I think Nyx may still be fighting a losing battle with Cara though, it wasn't even that she was a bad character before, she's always been really cute IMO. Especially with her original hairstyle.
It's a case of too much competition, even in her own home with the bombshell Nikki.
I also hope that it doesn't backfire and cause even less people to like or pick her when you are forced to choose.
I think guys like us, old players, are kinda set with our favorites...
Cara is fine, she's cute, i don't have anything bad to say about her... but she doesn't excite me, like her sister does for example (
Kaskaze ).
With me Cara has a big mountain to climb, but maybe the new personality will resonate with new players.
Although this change in her personality doesn’t fully work for me and slightly damages her image. I get the impression that now, on her route, no one takes her seriously. Erynn and Alexis don’t see her as a threat. It’s like she’s saying, “You fight among yourselves, and I’ll quietly take the MC from you.”
I think she could still be a combo of spunky redhead with some shyness and sweetness. But I agree that most people would probably still pick Nikki.
It will be a challenge for Nyx to maintain Cara's fanbase (I used to be one of them) but also attracting new fans to pick her.
I'm trying to run down the different personalities of the girls. How could you differentiate Cara so at least there's an alternative?

Kaskaze that she isn't considered a threat. Lexerynn even go shopping with Cara! Erynn treats her like a little kid in their scenes.
It's curious the difference on how Erynn reacts to Nikki vs Cara(before she forgets about their existence

Immediate dislike of Nikki, hates how strong and aggressive she is... and talks about how pretty she is almost in anger.
Cara, "Oh she's so cute... is she even 18?", a little catty... but in a dismissive "she's not on my level" kinda way
Because Nyx didn't want to give us an alternative way to get Elena, which would be them flirting and interacting separate from Layla. That would have made way too much sense and been far too simple. Instead we are forced to be on Layla's path then hurt her, if you like Elena.
One of the worst decisions Nyx made with this game IMO.
