The opinion about Erynn has run the gamut since the beginning of this game, people have said she was horrible for laughing at the MC (she didn't), that she was creepy for alluding to the two of them eventually marrying (it was a joke), that she is a slut/whore/whatever (she is not).

This is a symptom of Erryn's real problem - she can never say GTFO to Ethan for whatever reason - and that is a REAL BIG problem.

- When your BFF since childhood comes to you on his birthday with flower in hand and an important heart-to-heart conversation to deliver, you don't cut him off mid-way and go to look at funny videos on someone else's phone. What you should do is say over your shoulder to the douche calling you, "STFU, not now" and continue listening.

- When the MC ran off hurt, Alexis showed how it was done by almost immediately saying, fook this shit, and going after MC right away in a display of maturity and empathy. Erynn just continued the back and forth with Ethan - which was completely pointless anyway - as Ethan knows she never makes good on what she says with regards to him.

- For years afterward, even though she disliked the guy and her other friends like Alexis hated him, even when she had a boyfriend, Ethan still somehow was allowed to remain in the picture. How she treated Zane (based on the current info we have) was terrible, as I posted earlier:

There were so many opportunities (and time) for her to have gotten rid of Ethan harassing her all through high school - and plenty of help too. School counselors, Zane, her parent, Alexis' mom (who at the time would be a big rising star in the town's educational system) etc. And yet here we are, despite all her "I don't want to this, I don't like that etc.' still under Ethan's thumb.

If she is ever to become strong confident woman, she (not the MC - who can help, but cannot be her forever shield - what happens if he goes away or picks someone else, for example - she gonna revert and fall under Ethan's sway again?) must take a stand and give Ethan the...

That said, all this is true and Erynn is a shit friend.

She believed Ethan when he said Alexis tried to hit on him, we all know that is complete bullshit.

She left MC to run off while Alexis went after him.

Alexis is by far the better match. Erynn is not mature enough for a relationship, she has a lot of growing up to do. She's had years to get rid of Ethan but obviously wants him around whether she will admit it or not. That was obvious when the MC, her so called friend, ran off and she stayed with Ethan.

She is a truly awful friend and would make a worse lover. Personally she should get with Ethan and call it done. I don;t see why anyone would still be chasing her at this point. She's shown multiple times now she will always pick Ethan first.

I know I’ve not been here for a couple months but those are arguments I’ve seen. Perhaps the argument against her has evolved or you’ve never espoused those beliefs but I did see those conversations. I participated in them, I even jokingly suggested that Erynn was a sociopath who obsessed about the MC when she joked about the MC saying “I do”, so I know that some people had those thoughts. But as to your objections to Erynn I agree and I’ve said similar things about her. It’s why staying with Lexi has been an easy choice for me. That and Layla feeling too young.

All I know is if one of my friends was upset and ran off i'd follow them and not speak to the one upsetting them especially a jack off.

She obviously likes Ethan for it to be a problem when he said Alexis hit on him. She was hella mad about that so if he'd played it smarter and not gone the blackmail route she likely would have fucked him anyway.

The fact she got angry with her so called "best friend" Alexis over the whole Ethan thing shows how fickle a friend she is.

She called her friendship off completely over her actions with the MC. I don't care how angry she is, we've all fallen out with friends but you talk it out, it's what friends do.

I don't like Erynn at all.

I've not seen a single action that has painted her in a good light or as a good friend.

Look at it this way, when Ethan hit Erynn and we had the chance to hit him, how many people thought "oh no, Erynn is in trouble, we must save her" compared to how many thought "fuck that guy, gonna smash his face into the ground"....

Personally it was less what happened to her and more I just wanted to hit the prick. If it had given me the option to hit him and walk off leaving her behind i'd pick that every time.

You don't know that, Erynn was on the floor and Ethan was still standing, since the options are either run away or interrupt, we can't know if he kept beating her or not. In the path you didn't follow Alexis breaks up with you because Erynn called her for help after getting assaulted, she could be seriously hurt.

I think any man who is worth his weight should stop an assault happening on woman if he's able to, not because it's Erynn and Ethan, if it was 2 randos i still think the correct action would be to help.
I also believe the correct action on the follow up is to keep helping her, me calling step away being a dick move should've been obvious enough, just saying if you are that disconnected you could step out after you stopped a crime from happening.
The assault on Ethan isn't a crime as it's defense of a third party.

Erynn has always been an issue... She's portrayed as one of two "main" love interests (and I think that was the original plan until Nyx kept Alexis in but I am just speculating) but there's not a lot of positives when it comes to her besides her good looks and the fact that her mom is basically the MC's "aunt".
What else is there to recommend her? She was the object of the MC's childhood crush but nothing Erynn has done since the MC has come back makes her interesting as a love interest. She's that friend we've all had who just has WAY too much drama in their life and we like but also kind of avoid so we don't get drawn into it.

She is that hurt bird who needs care to fly again and be happy, that is the point of her character, not the easy immediate rewards.
It's about you empathizing with her pain and suffering and wanting to see this bird fly again, rather than going the easy route.

I do find it funny how, the fact that she was immature as a teenager(yeah no shit) and didn't handle the events in the backyard 5 years in the best way, keep being brought back by those who love to spout about the merits of "Mighty Alexis our mistress and saviour".
Just pointing out, Erynn while making mistakes was trying to do the right thing, she failed yes, but not out of malice.

All this while they "forget" the fact that adult Alexis (still young), lied and manipulated, conciously, to the MC and Erynn to get what she wanted.

A lot of projection too on how they speak about her relationship with Ethan, it's a toxic relationship she believes she can't break free from people, it's not that she secretly wants him... in her current damaged state she doesn't have enough willpower to fight against.

I do hope the "Ethan fucked Alexis" thing proves to be true, i wanna see the freak out when their world shatters lol.

That sums it up pretty well.
Even in terms of looks, i find her nothing special compared to the other main & side girls. My top 3 for the best looks would be Nikki/Gabi/Emily, well thats a matter of personal preference, but as u said, there isn't much positives going for her.

Also, when it gets brought up between Erynn and MC, Erynn immediately dismisses the very idea of Alexis sleeping with Ethan. She knows Alexis hates him.

I mentioned this earlier, but that "This is Ethan all over again" line was probably just Erynn going "she lied about MC, she probably lied about Ethan". She wasn't thinking rationally and said some dumb shit. People in an emotional state do that.

This "Erynn secretly wants Ethan" idea is so dumb. Not to mention just fucked up considering their circumstance.

It would mean that either she lied or she answered in a way to deliberately give you the wrong impression.
People have already had issues with Alexis hiding things and not being honest. For myself, I could not be in a relationship with someone I could not trust.
