That already tripped an alarm right, oh how i hope Ethan banged the shit out of Alexis .

This "Erynn secretly wants Ethan" idea is so dumb. Not to mention just fucked up considering their circumstance.

It's very stupid, this episode we saw Ethan resorting to everything to get Erynn, if she wanted him all she needs to say is "yes, let's do it".

If she didn't want him she wouldn't have been angry with Alexis when he said she was hitting on him.

Maybe because that would be her "friend" hooking up with her tormentor.

He didn't say he slept with her, he said she tried.

Also why would that be an issue?

Alexis isn't a virgin, she had sex before, doesn't matter who with. If she fucked Ethan then she fucked him but I don't see that happening. Unlike Erynn she isn't hung up on him.

I suspect this would be a problem in this forum since you guys are so hung up on Ethan, i just wanna see the possible reaction while eating a big bag of popcorn.

She is that hurt bird who needs care to fly again and be happy, that is the point of her character, not the easy immediate rewards.
It's about you empathizing with her pain and suffering and wanting to see this bird fly again, rather than going the easy route.

I do find it funny how, the fact that she was immature as a teenager(yeah no shit) and didn't handle the events in the backyard 5 years in the best way, keep being brought back by those who love to spout about the merits of "Mighty Alexis our mistress and saviour".
Just pointing out, Erynn while making mistakes was trying to do the right thing, she failed yes, but not out of malice.

All this while they "forget" the fact that adult Alexis (still young), lied and manipulated, conciously, to the MC and Erynn to get what she wanted.

A lot of projection too on how they speak about her relationship with Ethan, it's a toxic relationship she believes she can't break free from people, it's not that she secretly wants him... in her current damaged state she doesn't have enough willpower to fight against.

I do hope the "Ethan fucked Alexis" thing proves to be true, i wanna see the freak out when their world shatters lol.

I don't see any reason why the MC would do so besides a childhood friendship.

As many have said, even after the beginning where she was wrong as a 15 year old, she compounded that by keeping the douchebag in her life. Before the blackmail started what was her reasoning for keeping him around? Especially after he tried to tear Erynn and Alexis apart? Because he might have been able to get her modeling jobs? That's his father's business...

That sums it up pretty well.
Even in terms of looks, i find her nothing special compared to the other main & side girls. My top 3 for the best looks would be Nikki/Gabi/Emily, well thats a matter of personal preference, but as u said, there isn't much positives going for her.

Yeah, I am not a fan of blondes. If Erynn was a redhead I'd have more of a problem staying away from her. Lexi, Nikki, Gabi appeal to me more than she does.

I think you have me confused with someone else.

Firstly i'm not a guy, i've never been hung up over who sleeps with who partly because I can't put myself in the place of the MC and partly because i've never been a jealous person. I don't give a shit about who sleeps with who. Personally think everyone is free to fuck whoever they want as long as everyone consents. I was one of the ones happy Emily and Mel were kissing in the pool, personally I think they make a great couple. I also want the Zack to tone his nonsense down a bit so I can set him up with Layla ....... or Tori for shits and giggles.

Secondly my issue with Erynn not Ethan.

I wanted to punch him for being a douch and that's as far as my "hang up" with Ethan goes.

At the end of this I want the drama too be over but I think there will be too much to actually forgive anyone.

All I know is if one of my friends was upset and ran off i'd follow them and not speak to the one upsetting them especially a jack off.

She obviously likes Ethan for it to be a problem when he said Alexis hit on him. She was hella mad about that so if he'd played it smarter and not gone the blackmail route she likely would have fucked him anyway.

The fact she got angry with her so called "best friend" Alexis over the whole Ethan thing shows how fickle a friend she is.

She called her friendship off completely over her actions with the MC. I don't care how angry she is, we've all fallen out with friends but you talk it out, it's what friends do.

I don't like Erynn at all.

I've not seen a single action that has painted her in a good light or as a good friend.

Look at it this way, when Ethan hit Erynn and we had the chance to hit him, how many people thought "oh no, Erynn is in trouble, we must save her" compared to how many thought "fuck that guy, gonna smash his face into the ground"....

Personally it was less what happened to her and more I just wanted to hit the prick. If it had given me the option to hit him and walk off leaving her behind i'd pick that every time.

But sometimes when a friend's upset you leave them alone to cool off or dry their tears, then you talk to them. Erynn just never got the chance to do the latter.

Ethan is manipulative so he's probably been telling lies about Alexis for awhile in order to ruin Erynn's friendship with her. Of course Erynn should've ignored Ethan, but when people are emotionally vulnerable it makes them easy to manipulate, and Ethan took advantage of that.

Also, if being good friends mean talking it over, why didn't Alexis just say she had sex with MC and just talked it over with Erynn instead of hiding it? She could've did what Nikki and Cara did and let MC decide who he wanted between them, instead she just had to have MC for herself. The two of them have trust issues with each other I'd say, it's not all just Erynn being in the wrong.

People can believe what they want about Erynn. No one has to like her. She has her flaws, but it seems to me, people react more harshly to her flaws than other characters. To me, Erynn's just a really naive young woman who makes bad decisions, and bad decisions doesn't make you a bad person if you try to rectify those bad decisions.

Finally got to this update and man I'm really trying to like Erynn's playthrough but I'm losing interest. It feels more like she's a friend than a love interest. Everyone else you can flirt with and build towards a relationship but with her it's still more of a friendship vibe. I'll give it an update or 2 before deciding if I'll keep playing her story or just keep helping her on the side of the other girls' playthrough. Liked Lexi's and Elena's story this update and wonder if/when Nikki/Cara will return.

Keep up the good work Nyx and looking forward to the next update.

Given that we see him resort to "Weinsteining" his way into her panties, i'm inclined to believe her.

She only accused Alexis of lying about having sex with Ethan, after learning that Alexis lied to her about the MC... and it was also a lashing out attack, since in this episode with a cooler state of mind she says she doesn't actually believe it.

Currently, there is nothing illegal about the act itself but the recording may have been obtained without permission. (we will see what happens after the 2022 and 2024 elections - scarlet letters and stonings may return for the act) Instead of Erynn reporting the blackmail to police, which IS illegal, or even consulting an attorney for a couple hundred dollars she elects to capitulate to escort services out of personal embarrassment?!

You folks are debating whether she should rely upon some 18 year old high school kid for help/support? This girl is naïve at best and downright unsympathetic at worse. Not even a CW "high school student" would consider her a viable love interest... a viable candidate for chemical and/or talk therapy, yes!

I believe the point regarding her continued association with Ethan, pre-blackmail, was raised. There are no shortage of young girls/women besotted with boys/men that are bad for them. It's understandable. The whole accepting blackmail for doing nothing wrong, isn't. Hell, the sealed civil settlement alone would probably have Erynn owning the damn modeling agency. 30 seconds of a recording Iphone would close this tedious debate and preposterous storyline quite nicely.

The interconnections of the characters in this slice of life VN are far more interesting than this Scooby Doo criminal nonsense.

She as not had many lovers which is weird but considering how Ethan is helicoptering over her its not so surprising! her mental weakness in not confirming the sex tape falls into that trope, same for accepting the blackmail without reaching out for help! hell if not from her mother and Aunt at least from her best friend, they could have ruined his social life in high school and girls are good at it! it would not surprise me if Ethan just like Lucas are still virgin incels due to their obsessive personality where they are blind to what they can have and only aim at what they can not have!

People suffering harassment (sexual, blackmail, bullying), last thing they do is going to the authorities (public, private, parental).

Layla being harassed by Lucas, and not telling her mom (the school principal!)... Seen that.

Bad decisions, bad reactions... That's life. I had forgiven friends or love interests IRL for more, and also didn't for less.

But that's me. That's what make this VN so great for me. And the connections, while far fetched, they got me on the edge, waiting for the next reveal.

I feel like a lot of people are just demonising eryn because up until now it was still clear what she was doing but not the why.
I can see why some people think she would have dated ethan and why it sounds far fetching for her to go along with the blackmail, not report it and instead confide and trust on the MC.
Well I can see why yes, doesn't mean I agree. I've seen this happen so many times in real life. People are weak, and of the person doing the blackmailing knows where to apply pressure they will be successful with it. A girl on a situation like that will always think 'what if it backfire' when thinking of going with the issue to someone. Not to mention and that this girl came across as needy and weird at first but now you can see her for who she is with all the pieces. She is a scared little girl who never had a father figure nor that sense of security for having one, if anything she might even get scared that her actions might affect her mother in some way, the daddy issues are real, and the attachment to the mc seems related to it, probably being with him everyday and seeing him in a similar situation.
Sorry for rambling and going off topic, but as I said, I don't agree with the whole 'it's too far fetched for her too go along with the blackmailing'. It's not. That's how blackmailers usually get away with it so many times. Preying on her insecurities and fears, and don't forget ethan knows everything about her and everyone she loves. And her telling the mc? It's far fetched that an 18 year old would help?
Just like in real life, blackmailing usually get resolved when a family member or a person close to the victim get told or find out what's happening and intervened in a way that isn't harmful for the victim. Since its a fresh view on it and has a different perspective than the victim and the blackmailer. They have the full view, be him 18 or not I can feel a lot of maturity from this mc despite the radical mood swings. And I can see him speaking to Melissa to try and help eryn before he does something that harms her even more.

Say you are from a small town, you’re “famous” for owning the only Mickey D’s in town and an acquaintance of yours has obtained a video of you enjoying a delicious Whopper from Burger King… Now that is both professionally and personally embarrassing, I suppose, but hardly life threatening or illegal. Let’s then say this acquaintance demands you do some things you view as demeaning, possibly dangerous and maybe a little gross or he will share this video… He makes these demands without regard to his identity or security, in public, or on the phone FROM HIS OWN PHONE! Who would consider, for a moment, capitulation over redress?

Now, we’ll put the sex back. The character Melissa (that is excellent btw) has hardly shown herself to be a puritanical 19th century evil spinster. She is caring, bright, apparently close to her daughter and very approachable. Even if the character Erynn was too tree stump dumb to reason her way through this little puzzler, wouldn’t mom have helped? Wouldn’t Ethan be in jail or destitute or both long before the 18yr old mc kid moved back home? Remember, Erynn is an adult, a college aged grownup. She *giggle* wished to educate young minds… Little johnny isn’t calling her names during recess; this is assault, extortion and exploitation for profit. These are felonys ol’ Ethan is committing. And it’s even more ridiculous if you consider the reason it’s non-sexual hostess work isn’t Ethan’s moral code… She’s a LI. Yawn.

Now, I am not getting all down on the VN. I’m enjoying it; I think the whole cast being “intertwined” is clever as hell and the art is great and getting better each release. That being said, the debate regarding the Erynn character is silly, she isn’t unappealing. She is unbelievable. There are many fleshed out characters with real issues and real appeal. Darkness65, your point about Layla is very true. Elena too. Gabi, Alexis and more. They fit.

Uhm, unless we are assuming that Erryn told Alexis that she loved MC and would want to have a relation with him and as such claimed MC somehow, what did Alexis do wrong by bedding MC in plane and starting a relation with him besides not telling MC she was the Alexis from his past? Now according to Nyx, Erryn never said she loved or loves MC, the things when MC slept over were a joke and the outburst from Erryn with the words she used when found out Alexis had been with MC were just her having a bad day. Still strange words especially since I know when I am angry I tend to speak the truth about myself.

Remember also MC and her talked about Erryn on plane and he said he was not sure he even wanted to contact her, but for sure at his own time. Not something Erryn would have been happy to hear likely. So Alexis may well have made the judgement it was wiser to keep it secret even if she had not slept with MC at that point.

If there is no claim or love from Erryn on MC and love that she confided to Alexis about, there is nothing Alexis did wrong or what she even has to feel as guilty about as she does. Whom Alexis sleeps with is in the end her prerogative and not up to agreement fromErryn first, unless they are in lesbian relationship and all those feelings she confided were not about MC, but about Alexis.

Now my take on teenage Erryn and Ethan based on what I have seen in game, Nyx may disagree and since she knows more of the story and I might have missed some part of a rewrite and in the end Nyx is always right anyway since it is her story and there is always the risk that due to me being from a slightly different European culture and other time may look different at things as Nyx does, remember what was a deadly sin distant past like Greed before the Middle Ages is more or less celebrated nowadays.

What else is there to recommend her? She was the object of the MC's childhood crush but nothing Erynn has done since the MC has come back makes her interesting as a love interest. She's that friend we've all had who just has WAY too much drama in their life and we like but also kind of avoid so we don't get drawn into it.

Agreed my dude, personally the drama is just a big yikes and most of the problems the mc has with her could've beem solved with clear communication, part of which the mc has a problem with dealing with, dude acts like a kid and is quick to storm off on any problematic situations. I haven't played the update yet but I'll stick with layla and see where that path takes our mc.

Oh no I agree with a lot of what you are saying, and Heck I'm not no board of the Erryn crazy train at all! Actually do what I do, see her as an annoying older sister or some shit lol I never follow her route. I just tunnel in goddess alexis and that's it lol

Now the reason for my post was more like a 'well look at it this way' as in, in real life it does happen. And I totally agree that her not telling Melissa Nor the MC's mum, who she seems really close to is indeed weird, considering her personality, but we can't ignore that nyx might be trying to approach this in a more 'a lot of victims have a hard time coming forward for fear or embarrassed about the whole thing', now as you have said it, considering how Erryn is portrayed this just doesn't really fit.
It's like this, this game is amazing, the story is great the cliches are placed in all the right places and the cheesiness is so great I would grill it and a make a sandwich. All the characters are rich in well, characte, all but Erryn. She is all over the place and still doesn't really fit with the story yet imo, hopefully it will at some point but as a LI I will still continue to see her as the looney big sis I wish I could ignore.
