Well even if Santi would be the stepfather of Alexis and blood father of MC, Alexis and MC have no blood or legal relation as such or ever been part of the same family living as a family unit. So none of the protective laws would apply or definitions of incest however broad you want to make them. It may be intertwined though. Nikki and Cara would be a bigger danger of that, though considering the age they first meet, that would be really stretching the idea behind those protective laws.

Even if Santi would be her real father as long as he was not mentioned on the birth certificate of MC, no outsider would have to know as long as the few people who would know kept their mouth shut.

At the moment I'm enjoying my little time off.
I don't know yet if this will be a big update or a "smaller" one. It all depends on the upcoming training camp scenes. There will be scenes with lots of people in it and I'm still trying to figure out how to deal with those.
But, it will be a fun update (I hope). More to come soon.

He dumped something embarrassing on her out of the blue in front of her friends. She wasn't sure how to respond, and probably took Ethan calling her over a way to get out of the situation for the moment. She tried to stop Ethan picking on him, and then went over his house to talk to him, but his mother suggested she let him cool down first.

Perhaps not a perfect response, but she's a teenager, how would she have a clue how the best way to respond to a situation like this is? I bet most adults wouldn't. I can't say I do. What do you think is the 'ideal' response?

And during this time he just went into full on "FUCK EVERYONE IN THE WORLD" mode. As it's been said numerous times, they would have had zero problems if he had just answered her any of the times she tried to talk to him after this.

(Also rewatching this scene, it's a bit odd. He's literally standing 5 feet away from them. He should be hear their conversation and see they're watching a video on a phone, might just be an oversight or limitation of scene creation, I don't know.)

My response is: Please don't give the dear in headlights response as an excuse for Erynn, as for a response a guy at that age will consider himself as rejected, if the girl turns away and has a conversation with someone else.

We Know that if you favor Erynn you might think at least she was afraid to answer in front of her friends as she did like him, we can only wonder as to why she thinks "why you ask now".

An adult would interrupt her and ask again to confirm her intent, but a girl diverting her attention to friends and watching a video instead of responding to a confession is rejection!

we understand without this event the story crumbles its just to funny to see such a simple thing change a life so much.

We Know that if you favor Erynn you might think at least she was afraid to answer in front of her friends as she did like him, we can only wonder as to why she thinks "why you ask now".

An adult would interrupt her and ask again to confirm her intent, but a girl diverting her attention to friends and watching a video instead of responding to a confession is rejection!

we understand without this event the story crumbles its just to funny to see such a simple thing change a life so much.

But she was a dear in the headlights, we can see her thoughts and she was very confused... both at him being into her in that fashion and "why here and now".
His move is also made out of a selfish desire of blocking her new friends rather than any romantic feelings.

I think she was going to reject him back then, she was just thinking how can she do this without breaking his heart... she cared for him but wasn't into him, it didn't come out right and he didn't allow her to clear the air.

I still don't see how this puts a lot of the blame on her as you claimed. He didn't get the response he wanted to an awkward situation he created, and then reacted so badly to the situation he got sent to live with his father because he was out of control.

She even kept trying to talk to him even past his leaving town. And all of it could have been avoided if he had just talked to her at any of those points.

All she was really 'guilty' of in this is spending less time with him and more time with friends her own age.

EDIT: Even if she had rejected him, she still wouldn't be to blame in this situation (Unless she was cruel about it, which doesn't seem to fit her character at all). He thinks she was laughing at him along with Ethan, and that's what set him off, which isn't what happened, so she can't be blamed for that either.
