I partially understand them, if Melissa and Emily's models were reversed I would be more interested in the MILF route

The cut off choice for Melissa is absolutely baffling...
The game gives you choice called "compliment" while everyone is outside, in the front of the MCs house, including Emily who basically insures things will be kept PG.
A bunch of things happen, John reveal, Emily talk, fake Erynn... and 30 minutes later you are banging her, with no other choices in between.
This is deliberately misleading players at it's finest.

I would probably actually have a Mel save as well tho I would still be equally conflicted in playing it or liking it. As Erynn would still be my main girl and the fact she is a childhood friend would make all that much weirder still even if not in a relationship with her on that save.

kinda similar with Mira, but at least there I had an inkling on what the like her choice could lead to, but more so because of the other choice was friends. Still, there were no breaks on that train either after you picked. And it's annoying, because I do like her, but that doesn't mean I want to fuck her again when in a relationship.

But today if you decide to do exactly what you've doing for 13 chapters, not harmless
It's even weird that the episode just ends if don't pick "compliment", no stopping by the house to ask how she's feeling or how she's doing after seeing her baby daddy after 20 years, nothing...
Like it's not worth it talking to her anymore.
I know Nyx loves her drama(frankly i do too), but let me consciously pick and chose which fucked situation i'm gonna get myself into.

this is how I feel when I was juggling the Lexi and Erynn path I had no idea no running with Layal would lead to sex and Erynn walking in on us. Hell I was waiting for the chance to break up with Lexi / get off her path so I can be with Erynn my first time playing and seeing thatTotally, choices should be made clearer.

Gabi used to be one of my favs but after this update I'm redoing my saves. Pulling out at all costs!
As for Nikki I chose to lie about Mira cause I'm 99% sure once she finds the Erynn poster the relationship is over.
Might as well ride it out in peace for a few more days

The problem is though if Nyx had given a "Go for it" or "Stop it" option with Melissa just before the lewd scene then everyone would have been made aware that it wasn't a dream, so she couldn't have done the is it or isn't it a dream cliffhanger.
As I've said before I disagree with the sentiment of many that Melissa's scene was unexpected or came out of nowhere.
You need to have enough points with her to be able to compliment her which leads to the scene for a start. Which requires you to have flirted with Melissa at every opportunity. This time the flirting, mixed with the drink had consequences IMO.

Except, according to Nyx Mel is an actual LI which is something Gabi isn't so maybe its the forbidden love that will actually work out if the player wants it to.
I still 100% believe Nyx is fucking with us when it comes to Mel as that route has been slow going for years now and it wouldn't shock me if she was one of the characters that will be killed off.
It has honestly always felt like Nyx has had this thing against milfs in intertwined (or in general). Fuck them all you want sure but long term relationship? Nah. It feels like she want's you to pick one of the younger girls.
If it wasn't for Nikki (who is the most adult out of the younger girls and thank god she wasn't killed off like originally planned) and/or Melissa being the only older woman love interest i wouldn't really be all that interested in the game and would have dropped a long time ago.
I know this is suppose to be a drama heavy game but boy nyx really has something against the "mature has her shit together" type of woman.

You don't know what the expression "cut off" means, what you just showed is called requirements.
The cut off is "compliment" you can meet all these previous requirements but if you don't compliment her nothing happens.
That's the truth, it would ruin the cliffhanger.

doesn't bother me too much now that I know what the choice does. But I still think it's a kinda weird way to go about it. Sure, I flirted with her, but a simple compliment option (which is not even flirting per se, except how MC delivers the line lmao) shouldn't lead to an unavoidable sex scene (if that's what it was)
