Hi! Hm, interesting... I have Windows and know only very little about Linux, so I can't tell you why this happens... If the spider escape didn't work either then my guess would be that something on your end is messing with that particular code as the one I used doesn't mention it not working on Linux, or there is some deeper Renpy stuff here I don't understand. And yeah, you need to get her bubble in the third minigame.
If more people report minigames not working properly I will probably add a 'skip minigame' option.

Really Cool game so far (just completed the lab). I do like it even if there are multiple encounters that get a wee bit to wierd even for me but I have to point out a few things:

1. The game crashes around the portal area in the lab a lot giving the error below.
You can ignore it and it seems to work fine but I assume this needs to be fixed.

2. Speaking of the lab, I think it is pretty excessive what you need to do in order to find the secret. I mean not only do you need out-of-the-game decryption twice but you can also unknowlingly lock yourself out of it permamently by helping

before getting the clue you need. A player can basicly roam around the lab for hours trying to find the missing clue without knowing that the clue is impossible to get now due to previous encounter you can just stumble across.
If you want to keep it like this I would recommend to be able to find the clue regardless of what you have explored or done previously and being able to decrypt the message in-game.

3. Other than that I just want to say that the game is certainly interesting and unique with many different fetishes present and a start of an intriguing story I must say. Keep it up :)

Thanks for your comment!

I fixed the bug, it was a puzzling one, too... I played around with the teleporter a bit and the error only happens upon leaving the area, not when entering it. Since literally all areas use the same code, I was a bit perplexed as it only happens there. As it turns out, the teleporter pic, for some ungodly reason, was a png and not a webp, so the variable picture name when leaving an area (ending with .webp) couldn't find it, but when entering the area renpy doesn't need a file extension, so entering was fine. I have NO clue how this happened, there is zero chance I missed that during testing, I traversed the lab multiple times. At some point, I must've failed to convert it back, maybe when I reduced the file sizes of all pics? No clue... But, it was a good thing because I found another bug with the Mahart encounter, a bug that none of you guys have yet but would've completely fucked new players over with the next update, so thanks to you this crisis has been averted(y)

And, regarding the difficulty of the puzzle: Dude, I'm already theory-crafting the next puzzle for the second lab visit (which is faaaar into the future), and it will be the most ludicrous, complicated puzzle ever. The technology setting of the lab is just perfect for that :ROFLMAO: But, I agree, the walkthrough alone isn't enough to help here, I'll probably implement a checklist so players can see what they already found and can decide themselves whether it's worth continuing for whatever is left to discover.

Also, I really hope you have premonition mode on because it will get a loooot more degenerate. I won't be held accountable for any long-lasting damages;)

Again, thanks for the bug report and for preventing a shit explosion with the next update. Have a good one and good luck out there.

Damn, that sounds crazy but just to make myself a bit more clear: It wasn't so much the difficulty of the puzzle that is the main problem but rather the fact that you are able to lock yourself out of a vital clue permamently without any kind of indication that you did and also that you are forced to use things outside of the game to progress. Hard puzzles are fine as long as they are fair.

(Yes I had to play the game from the beginning in order to complete the puzzle due to me saving her before knowing I needed a clue first. To be fair I should perhaps use more save points but my point stands)

Yeah, I hear you. One can actually still get the password by replaying her scene in the catalogue, but that's not telegraphed at all, true. When it comes to decoding, I want to do that again but with a completely made-up algorithm, one from within the game. You know, extreme difficulty whilst still being fair. Fuck, I really wanna get to that part now asap :ROFLMAO:

Alright so I have reached the end of the current version and I must say I'm overall impressed to what you have achived so far. So I wanted to give you some general feedback for the game based on my experience. I will try to avoid any spoilers for the game.

Story/Characters:
The story begins very lighthearted but can really drag you down quickly later with some really heavy topics and disturbing scenery but that also makes it more realistic as real life is not sunshine and rainbows. You are pretty good at worldbuilding and developing the characters I must say.

Gameplay/UI:
As this is mostly a visual novel there is not that much gameplay but most of it is simple enough. Navigation can be quite confusing though when you have no map (like in the lab) or every background looks the same (like when escaping from the terminator) but I'm sure you will be able to improve these over time.

One thing that annoys me to no end is the fact you can only check the monster book or items in your backpack when you are at a camping site/safe spot but maybe you have a good reason for it. Speaking of the book, it could use some improvement in formating as the text and buttons in it is quite messy and forces you to scroll a lot or go into many sub-menus.

Be careful with adding to many extra gameplay elements that you only ever get encounter once and then never again (like the card game or the pokemon-like battle) especially if they are more on the complex side. While they can be good in terms of giving the player something new and unexpected but this can also backfire hard and annoy players with stuff they don't want to do or find entertaining. It also consumes your time developing these elements as you need to do them from the ground up every time.
What I would recommend doing is keeping the one-off gameplay elements simple like the challanges from the bugsuccubus or when ecaping the spider. While making like 1-2 more advanced gameplay elements that returns for multiple encounters making them more fleshed out and polished.

Smexy Stuff:
This topic is highly subjective in general but the quality is pretty good for a 2D game with some animations. I know it is AI and all but I don't really have anything against it as long as it is used fairly, I mean it is way better than nothing.

The game really slaps the term "monster girl" on almost everthing that lives and you can stick your dick into and also pokes fun of that fact is pretty entertaining and degenerate to a whole new level.

For me personally it really is a massive boner rollercoaster when you at one point are getting it on with a supermodel succubus or a steaming-hot cyberbabe and later you stick your dick into a fucking worm or a wolf sasquach that half-eats you during the act.
Your insect-fetish really shines through ;) (Not judging, everyone on this site has some deep dark degeneracy)

To Summarize
Really cool game and it has a big potential to be a shining jewel on this site, Keep up the good work. I will look forward to the next update.
