So I've played through this a few times and I love it! I was surprised because normally, I'm kinda neutral on tentacles. But this has been a really fun to play through.

I have a question though. I've only seen one path to finding out who you were before and that ended in death. Is it possible to remember who you are without dying? Also, is it possible to figure out what your mission was? I'm still discovering new things to do after 4 playthroughs, but a yes or no to these questions will make me feel better about playing through more.

I figured out I was human, infected some of the alien slaves and had those strong fuckers fuck shit up in the alien mothership before crashing into the japanese sea with it and my horde of tentacle babies.

Yes

Yes; but only certain paths reveal all the details.

I got excited when I saw this on the latest updates page, but it was just updating to the last build that was posted in October last year.
I'll laugh if they come out with an update soon and then it takes another 3 months for this thread to get updated.

Man, this is scratching five different itches for me and it's great. Looking forward to next release, and probably going to do a few more playthroughs because apparently I'm missing stuff I didn't even realize I was missing. Fellow game designer, very curious about the guts of the game and the development process.

There is an ongoing poll for what the team should work on next:

  • Invasive Species 2 CYOA; pick up where the first ends, same style of everything
  • Play as a woman CYOA trying to escape the creatures and reach safety
  • Invasive Species 2 Strategy/CYOA hybrid (ha!) where there is more decision making
  • Play as a new species that infects a human and converts his household, then the world
  • Something entirely different (post an idea for us to consider!)
