If the dev decided to tells the story through animations, then you're not skipping just an animation, you're skipping the story. Just pick another game to play if you don't like the dev's animations/story.But what if the video has multiple animations in one? Or tells more story? In the end the player never knows how long it is and is forced to watch unless he doesn't mind skipping possibly important content.
Well noone can go back in time to check that but I would easily take this bet if the cgs were in the same level as the animations.
In fact, you can check how games like Karryn's Prison that have no animations are getting very popular regardless. Not everything boils down to animations.
You can pretend and say we'll never get the answer because we can't travel in time, but come on, as someone said before, check every mainstream game, they have animations. Just the fact that you need to compare Milfy City, a game cited in this forum like every single day, with Karrryn's Prison, a games that most people didn't remember or never heard about, tells the difference.
