The type of relationship that Alex and MC have happens, maybe, once in a lifetime. The odds of Isabella coming into their lives the way she did would be roughly the same as the odds the universe will implode tomorrow. What are the odds they would all develop an unconditional and unequivocal love for each other? It may be fantasy to think things like this really happen but, one thing is sure; everyone's smile gets brighter when they do. Nope, it happens the way it happens or it never happens.

I find, somewhat to the surprise of my libido, that I play most of these games to a much lesser degree for the sex than he stories, I know I've said that before. Sure, there are a few that are just lighthearted sex fun, but in that case it's well-made sex fun. Others are more about the story and the plot, about relationships and world building and so on. For those games, sex scenes are not really that important to me. Indeed, sometimes you suspect one is there just keep people happy, but that can have the opposite effect on me if it feels contrived.
And (needless) sex scenes takes away dev time from more important stuff!

I'd say that's because sex is usually more about feelings and relationships than just the physical act.

Definitely agree. I enjoy a good story far more. Often I find myself frustrated when a VN looks like it might be a good story and turns out to be another porno wrapped in a good description. I love sex, but animated sex doesn't do much for me. I'd rather an involved story, a few sex renders and move along with the story. Maybe I'm just boring in my old age haha.

Oh, yes. I've tried loads of games that looked promising but definitely left something to be desired. I'm sure many other sophisticated elder gentlemen (and ladies) have gone through the same. ;-)
And I'm absolutely with you on animations. I'd much rather have a few beautiful renders than an animation. It's not that I mind them, but a really good render is hard to beat, and something to rest your eyes on.

Till you get older and the days on this mudball get fewer and fewer then sex becomes more important.

One could say the same thing about relationships. So maybe priorities shift with age differently for different people. Who knows. I guess we'll see what each of us prioritize when/if we get older.

just don't break up with Alex when given the chance to stop things from getting serious. It hasn't gotten to the point with Isa yet as far as I can recall where you have to decide if you want to peruse her solo, with Alex ( Throuple) or just friends.
Ok that makes sense then. I thought by not breaking up with alex and some previous decision I got locked out of Isa route also.
The only "lock out" is Val (if you had been on her route) when you choose Alex.
Because Alex will have a hard time to accept Isa, but there is no way she accepts Val.

My priorities changed. Sex is still important but not as much as it was. A value relationships a lot more now though.

Funny thing while im not old or anything I would say AVN's and just reading alot of people's point of view on these forums has changed my entire outlook on things . While before AVN's sex never really mattered to me just having a partner that wants to be with me is all I ever want from a relationship. Now I would say I also value really getting to know a person more than I normally would. I always been a person that never really ask questions as I dont want to come across as nosey and pry into their business and figure it be rude to ask anything that wasn't a basic question. Still won't ask anything that can come across as personal however.

You go through stages in life. Your outlook changes over time.
You need to work on your communication skills my friend. Your approach is fine if you are just dating people, but if you do want that relationship to go on past dating, then you need to get all those personal questions sorted out before you have kids or get married. Trust me on that.
