As a dev, everything you do is wrong for some people.
Like the "forced relationship", the slow burn, not being a harem game or the silly pets/zoo.

I'm telling my story.
Sorry if most people don't like it.

And sorry for the real fans for getting you into trouble which lady you go after.
Being a team with x0 members, with x00k funds, I could plan that way better. Hell, thinking about Vals role before chapter 2 would have been a good idea. She was never planned like this.
Val grew on me, story and relationship wise.

I will never break the story and add her to a harem, because that wouldn't fit with Alex and Isa.
So for the Alex haters (ok, the not Alex path players, sorry), she's there until Isa will be available as a LI.
Doesn't make it easier, as the players will have to make a decision.
That's life ;)

I understand you, and adding here as a single LI wasn't the easiest decision.
Back when I'd played AVNs I always sticked to the route/girls I'd choosen, no matter how "interesting" another route might be.

She's there, she has her path, and even without playing that part, she'll be adding to the story.

I'm the same. I play the LI route I like the most and usually that's it.

All of those things are part of you telling your story, not pandering to the popular opinion. Of course you could have handled things in a different way, and there were a few things you did change after player feedback (such as the first sex scene with Val). I'd say you are not doing things wrong, just your way. That may not always be the financially smart option, but then it would probably be a very different story. Not the one the majority of your supporters enjoy.
Hell, thinking about Vals role before chapter 2 would have been a good idea. She was never planned like this.

That happens, as anyone who has ever written a story will probably know. It's something you can't predict. Character's demand more attention, new ideas pop up in your brain, an original idea doesn't really work, focus shifts on the plot - the trick is not getting too sidetracked by all the possible changes you could make. Write some of them down for possible future use, and use what makes sense now.
I suspect that is sometimes very difficult when you are a new dev, unsure and still learning everything about making a game, especially if you have fans, paying or otherwise, who clamour for various things. Once in a blue moon, they might actually want something that makes sense. :)
And you absolutely have my respect for resisting that, and sticking to your vision and adding and changing only the things that make sense to you, or that you have to make to accommodate Patreon or Steam.

I will never break the story and add her to a harem, because that wouldn't fit with Alex and Isa.

She's there, she has her path, and even without playing that part, she'll be adding to the story.
And if you had added Val to the harem, I would honestly have been disappointed. Not because I don't like her, but because it would have made absolutely no sense for this story.
I play harem stories too, they can be fun if they are well-made, but they are not realistic stories and definitely require a certain level of suspension of disbelief. A throuple, sure. An MC sleeping around, sure. More than two girls happily in a permanent relationship, and we get into silly magic dick territory which is a very different kind of beast to Isa.

So, while financially you might have wanted to have made a few different choices, I, as a player is happy with the ones you made. And if you make a new game once Isa, Alex and the MC are living happily ever after, you have the experience and skills you've acquired making Isa. And I'll spam that download button as soon as I hear of it.

It doesn't matter what you do or how you do it, someone will whine and complain and bitch about it. Do your thing. If 99% of people are saying the same thing then it might be time to listen, but otherwise to hell with them.

At the end of the day it's your story. All you can do is hope the way you tell it resonates with people. I don't mind harems if they can written in such a way that they contribute to the story. Alternatively, I don't like when a game pretty much tells the same story no matter which LI you pick. So hopefully, single/throuple route games are diverse enough to entertain no matter who you choose to be with.

Personally I don't see how a harem works here and I can't be in the minority. So kudos for sticking to your guns. Looking forward to more Isa content.

Just finished my first playthrough. Haven't read any of the forum, as I'm a blind playthrough "no spoilers" type. I enjoyed it so far. I like story based games over pure porn games myself. First playthrough I tried for an Isa path, breaking it off with Alex. It is an interesting take on a VN. So far it seems like Alex and Isa are the ones about the start a relationship and sometimes MC is just there for protection once Alex and him are broken up. Alex teases him and Isa a bit, but it does feel a bit like she is the protagonist in relationship scenes while MC is the protagonist in non-relationship scenes sometimes. I assume there is an Isa path that I just haven't discovered or maybe just hasn't been developed yet, and perhaps I made a wrong choice along the way.

I'm a bit curious how an Alex path plays out differently. May give it a try when another update rolls around.

Anyways those are my intial thoughts. I will check in to see how the game progress from time to time.

Isa is a slow burn, she and the MC will get closer the next update.

Thanks for the feedback!

'd say you are not doing things wrong, just your way.

Financially I'm doing better than others. Isa was meant as a hobby and I got back my investments and was able to invest more.
I'll probably skip the 5090 (if the price rumors are true), but I don't need a faster card anyway. 32GB RAM would be nice, but my 4090/3090 duo is at least as fast as a 5090 would be (well, while drawing 800W )

I did my main job the last decades because I had fun doing it.
Same goes with Isa: I need to have fun, otherwise the result won't be like I want it to be.
So yeah. Doing my thing ;)

Thanks again!
