Just to be clear, every paying supporter has the right to ask when the next update is coming.

I just don't want to, nor can give a date, too much can go wrong. And did with the last (hardware failure) and the upcoming one (serious doubts in art creation/quality).

Sorry if that's not what you expected, but that's it, being a one man show.

I'll try to solve the problems I had now in the future, after eliminating the risk of hardware failures.
But that doesn't answer your question now.

I was just checking 5 minutes ago. You do NOT want any hardware failures right now. If the component is even available, you will NOT like it when you see the price. The trouble really starts if you need to replace something developer capable. I would suggest having paramedics standing by :ROFLMAO: .

No worries, I should be pretty safe.

NAS with mirrored devices, dev folders with sync to the NAS, external drives to back up the NAS.

The worst that could happen is that the 4090 blows up, there's no way to get a new one and the 5090 is a fucking joke, both in price and performance.
But IF that should happen, I still have the 3090TI ;)

Everything else (PSU, board, CPU, ram) should be replaced in a few days.

In fact I'm thinking to move the 3090TI to a second PC to reduce the risk further (and to have two PCs for rendering), but that would increase my electricity usage to 1200W an hour while rendering with both.
Guess I need a storage for the PV first.

until the police raids your place and takes all your shit due to some made up bs by an angry player, happened to K7. Don't think he ever got it back either and it's been years, he just recently managed to put out a short update for that game after a long-ass while.

I haven't really looked into it much since I got a 4090 myself but the little bit I do hear makes me think I might be better off going AMD for the first time next time I do upgrade. Even the 4090 series had some serious like the cables . 2 generations in a row with some bad issues makes me kind of think Nivida is gonna keep going downhill

And that's (and a fire, earthquake or aliens) why the external backups are not in my apartment ;)

Would be a really big problem for the hardware though.

Yeah. No.
Because idiot Daz is using Iray and that's NV only.
And I'm not switching to Blender in mid of development.

Oh, was this a solo-developed game?
If that's the case, I suppose I should expect a development timeline similar to something like Being a DIK or DreamLand.

I was worried because so many games have been abandoned during development lately.
But as long as the game is still in development, I can wait no matter how long it takes.

Yes it is.

Writing, rendering, animation, scripting, video editing, postwork, marketing and a few other things.
All you can blame on me :ROFLMAO:
