Yeah, seems like there have been some good opportunities for that, especially with Alex's jealousy - "Look, I don't want her, I want you but if you could stop inviting her to spend the night at my house ..."

It'll be fun to see what BTT has planned for it, regardless of which path you pick. Throuple is my head canon, but I'll probably try Alex solo as well.
It could probably happen in any number of ways, Alex could come to the MC and confess to an interest in Isa, he could confront her or just ask what's with her basically pushing Isa into his arms, or something completely different.

Or maybe her trying to initiate something prompts the discussion, and we'll have to talk it through like adults. I have no idea what's being planned, but I hope for something interesting.
I like Isa, just not as much as Alex and would have been happy with her solo path if I Alex wasn't so awesome.

Yep, we'll see but I'm already closer than I want to be with Isa. I think that I find her too needy, and too always in trouble. MC already lost his fiance, don't want someone who is calling with an emergency every fifteen minutes. I think, If Alex wasn't there and if they were options I'd be more interested in Annoushka or Williams daughter (blanking on her name) than Isa. We'll see what happens though. Sad that, apparently, Alex is going away for a bit.

I agree about Isa needing help could probably have been written better, and if this was BTT's second game would have been. But for the story to get anywhere, especially the romances, Isa needed to become a part of the MC's life. It's happening a little too quickly to be entirely believable, perhaps, but dragging it out would have made the romance plots take forever to develop I guess. It's a tradeoff.

But in all this we've forgotten Isa herself - she does have agency and is not a pawn of the two others. I could very well see her put a (temporary) stop to Alex's shenanigans. She's smart and has just found two new friends, I don't think she wants to jeopardise this even if she may be attracted to one or both of them.

I get that, and if you're on that path then well and good, but I have no intention of going anywhere near the isa path and wish I could have said no to her more often to make that clear (to her and to Alex). Like I've said before, I see her as Alex's friend - not mine - and MC is spending a lot of time with her. I'm already closer to her than I really want to be (even platonically).

I understand what you mean, and get your frustration, even if I don't really understand your reaction to her. We seem to see her very differently.
I'm definitely a lot more interested in Alex, she's someone I'd probably fall for irl, but I've absolutely nothing against Isa. I like her too and don't really mind how she's been 'thrust' upon us. Just a case of each to their own, I guess.

For now there's nothing that can bring you "closer" to her.
She's there, for obvious reasons. Sure I can offer to say "I don't care if your uncle threw you out, go find a hotel room".
Wouldn't help the story though, and for sure not the throuple path.

But since she got into the house, where is she needy? Or in trouble?
She is reacting to Alex provocations, that's all. She didn't made a move on the MC (except the scene with Zeuss puking in the bed) without being called out by Alex.

I do understand if players prefer to choose Alex or Isa only, but I have to build up the throuple, or more importnat the friendship with one LI.
Because the story will only live if they are all there. There's a reason it's called "Isabella: Chasing Shadows".

Obviously if I want to keep playing I have no choice but to give her more time, but I knew early on that I was not interested in her (or the throuple path). As I said yesterday, even if Alex wasn't there I wouldn't be interested.

The needy bits though: You meet her in the bar because she is attacked, then give her a ride home, then rescue her again the following afternoon, then go back because of Zeuss, then she spends the night in your guest room, then play bodyguard at the dinner, etc – it’s a lot of time and energy for someone you’ve known a few days. And it seems like there should be some room in there to set some boundaries/expectations.

Like the night Zeuss threw up, if you had said you didn’t want to spend the night, you wouldn’t have missed anything in terms of the story. It could have just gone straight to “the following morning” and the scene at MC’s apartment.

Anyway, I don’t hate her or anything, I don’t think she’s evil but if you’re not on her path or interested in her she’s somewhat abusing MC’s hospitality and generosity. Like I was nice to her once and now she’s my new bestie and roommate whereas I’m more at the level of – if we hadn’t spoken for awhile maybe we could grab brunch or a coffee and catch up kinda friendship.

Being the Dev, you may not have considered this an option since you appreciate feedback. However, some folks just thrive on being negative and really don't give "feedback" so much as trolling Devs - it's a superiority complex kind of thing. Based on activity elsewhere, not just here, this seems to be one of those individuals. Thus, for your own mental health...

Nah I pretty much abandoned that game. I might check in at some point and see how it ends, but it just veered too far from good. And I'm not deliberately being harsh, I'm just not into Isa at all which makes it weird when she's sort of attached to you and you don't have any opportunity to tell her to back down or indicate your lack of interest.

I think you're confusing "literally in fear for her life" and "interest." She's basically alone, and all this shit is happening to her, and the MC is the only one (sans Alex) that is doing anything to help her.

Won't comment on the last bit, bc I don't feel like playing storyteller but I agree that MC (and Alex) are the only ones who really seem to be trying to solve her problems.
