I'm preparing a post about what's going on for months since a few days now, and writing that is as much fun as opening Daz was at some days/weeks/months.
I'll try to get that out in the next days.
Two and a half weeks later, nothing.

Listen, as someone that works in a creative field, I have all the empathy in the world for you. Doing creative stuff is difficult and it's easy to burn out and sometimes you need a break. That's fine.

But that's no excuse for poor communication. We have money invested in your project and if you claim you're going to say something, you need to follow through and say it.

You are right, my communication sucks. It was quite good when nobody cared about it, but when it matters now it sucks.
Not for weeks, for months.

It's hard to accept that you think you have everything under control, realize you don't have and write about that.
Besides trying to get work done.

But yeah, you are right.

BTT? You all right out there?

All good, just busy, sweaty (well, it's summer! But it got a bit hot inside while rendering).
Been playing around with AI in my "I need a break" time. Some nice results, nothing that is ready to be used in the game.

Thanks for asking! ;)

I still haven't delivered the promised statement, which is bad. Shame on me.
In fact that's like the update... I've changed it a few dozen times.
My "proofreader" wasn't doing well too, but that's no excuse.

But yeah, if I like it or not, I need to get that out.

Temperatures will go down here, so I won't cook in my own sweat any more.
Burning 400W from the GPU is nice in Winter, in summer it's a free sauna.

I read that as getting busy and sweaty with an AI :ROFLMAO: .
I was like TMI, but whatever floats BTT's boat. Too much medication my end I think :ROFLMAO:

Any roadmap plan for this?
Last i checked in was 2023.
Version C03.3...... and now we're apparently looking towards a status update/progress report rather than an update after over a year since the last update?

No, it's a hobby project. When it's done, it's done. Dev is active here from time to time, last message was August 15th.
A hobby that people paid real money for on Steam. A dev quote from there: "There are eight to ten chapters planned, which would mean 2025 for the final release".

That commitment makes it hard to get away with just a "when it's done, it's done". Especially since no explanation was given.

Define “get away with”. What’s going to happen if he’s not done on the timeline you want?

Anyone buying a game on early access should know and be prepared for the risk of the project getting seriously delayed or not finished.
It's always a gamble.

This particular one though, while it's definitely taking a lot longer than either those who paid for it or the developer himself reckoned with, I do think we will see a completed game in time.

I mean it's early access can't expect speed from them . Hell I know one EA game not an AVN that took over 10 years I think it was close to 15 years. They re-did mechanics like 3 different times etc. It's why i rarely buy EA expect for AVN's.

How I see it if you buy any EA you have to assume the worst and hope for the best . As there is never a guarantee you will get what you paid for. Which is why I typically only buy ones that I want to play now and don't care if I get burnt. AVN's are different for me as I see that as a way to support AVN's I like even if the worst happens. So I don't expect all of them to get finished.

It's in early access. There are 1,000's of dead games on Steam in early access.

Bad reviews, lack of sales, loss of patrons, lack of trust if he tries to do a new project, etc.
But see. That’s where ‘Hobby Project’ comes into play. If it’s a hobby, none of that matters very much. Also, none of it has happened so far.
