for type too, here if you don't type something for some time you stop receive notifications about discussions you follow, they restart after you manually go back there but the thing will repeat anyway.
aside this remember that this is internet too and this mean that you can share your opinion as you like, polite people just say that don't share it while not polite ones insult you and troll you.
I shared my opinion, personally I don't understand what is nice about do it with dudes that seems a girl as is not my thing... I don't like them? yes I don't... I refuse people that like them? nope, the last thing I would do is skin someone alive that don't share my taste.
