I went from public to this and just had to backtrack a few saves for them to work.
Hm, i tried that as well. Maybe i didnt track back enaugh. But i tried starting a new game and skipped through to the first choice involving a exclusive scene. That way it worked for me.
If it works for you your way, thats good. ;) (y)

Except that it doesn't get you a scene because those aren't included in this version of the game. But yeah, otherwise that would work, if it worked.
this is a guide for version 0.3, at 0.4 dev fixed it by creating two different versions of the game

What the fuck is up with these recent ratings?
1 star? Seriously man?

Even if I believe the game is that bad but 1 star is just too unreasonable!
Maybe pay walling is not an appreciated move on a pirate site?

If the patreon version wasn't leaked, I would have given up on that game myself, what's the point of playing a souped down version with missing sex scenes?

Let's be honest here, even at 1$ a month, most AVNs are not worth that price considering the time they take to be finished.

Many, if not most, of the most successful ones have been going on for 4 years at this point (more and much more for some). While they may be "good games", are they REALLY worth 48$? Devs paywalling indie games, are just asking for troubles and shooting themselves in the foot.
They have to understand that if we decide the game is worth money, we'll pay for them, but they also need to understand that their products are not AAA games, and are never going to be worth as much. While their games take about just as long to be finished for the most part, both the production costs, and quality are nowhere near on the same scale, as such, expecting a sale price in the same range is lunacy at best.

free market place off ideas mate,
0.4 Patreon version

Mega

I wasn't going to leak out of respect for the dev, but the fact that they made a separate public version in the first place with the sole intention of removing access to scenes rubs me the wrong way.

I didn't really pay any attention to what was going on but having scenes paywalled has never worked.

It has never encouraged people to pay only turned off people from playing in the first place. I've yet to see it make any real money.

Long story short, the dev created a fully different game for the public, without the files for the pay walled scenes, so, impossible to crack, as you'd only get the text without any picture or animations.

So, the game is starting to get review bombed, but a kind soul shared the patreon version.
That about sums it up :)

the VN community is to niche off a market for this concept IMO

Do you want to watch Patreon scenes without paying? Follow these instructions.

1) Download and install Universal Ren'Py Mod in the “base” folder of your copy of Isekai Paradise. You can download URM from this page of this forum:

https://f95zone.to/threads/universal-renpy-mod-urm-2-6-mod-any-renpy-game-yourself.48025/

2) Press Alt + M. If a screen with two choices appears, choose any one of them.

3) In the search field type “patreon”.
View attachment 4585735
4) Click on “False”. In the popup window click on “False” and change it to “True”.
View attachment 4585736

5) Exit URM and return to the game.

The Patreon scenes should be unlocked. If an error appears when loading a game it is recommended to start a new game. Note that in future upgrades doing this may cause problems. If so, repeating these instructions should solve the problem.
The public version physically does not contain the animations, so, you'll get the text true, but there's zero visuals.

bruh read the thread.

v0.3 it was variable based so URM worked
in v0.4 it got separate releases (public had patreon renders removed i'm guessing)

Thank you for the information and clarification. It is possible that for that reason future saves may not work; it is possible that they depend on the new Patreon version. I will let a few days pass, then I will delete these superfluous messages to leave only the first one, which is the important one.
A couple of people reported that their saves needed to be rolled back from the public 0.4, so I suspect there are other variables than just 'patreon' and the extra folder being missing as well.
I launched a new game myself right off the bat since I wanted to see if the previous pay walls worked or not as well (they do of course.)

I quite like the animations for this game based on what was shared (haven't played the game yet), didn't have any issues with the camera "shaking". But I do empathize some folks might find it nauseating or uncomfortable.

Any way, my take is there is no need to get personal with the developer. After all it's his game and effort and he's entitled to try and squeeze more money out of it. But from a business angle, such stunts never work, especially for a game that is quite heavily subscribed (Isekai Paradise actually has a pretty strong subscription despite its young age).

At the rate it's going as long as he stops the pay wall and thereby attract even more users to try, I wouldn't be surprised if he can garner at least 500 subs by the end of 2025. That would put the game finances easily at the top 5% of the industry. The key thing is to keep the pace on updates and steer away from cheap stunts that at most just earn some short term quick bucks.

If I eventually come around to trying this out and get a good product, wouldn't mind doing a one time payment at Itch as I don't believe in paying monthly for something that has no clear sight of update and completion timelines. But if the developer continues with this paywall policy, I might hesitate to support.
