Um, can anyone help?

For some reason, when I clicked "Start", I end up starting in the middle of the story instead from the very beginning.

Yeah so it seems like the creator messed up a bit; He explains in a comment: "Quick note, everyone~. I made a little mistake when uploading this, and this release will ONLY let you play the new content. Until I can fix this issue next week and if you want to play prior content of the game, please download the v 0.3 public release"

v0.3 is public now, so you can just go download that if you want to start from the beginning. Here's the

to the relevant Patreon post (free for all to see). To be clear: this game has no choices that matter between updates, so there's nothing to lose if you just want to see the latest content update - you can just play v0.4.

So Ayumu assimilates the other guys, the girls are nearly fully corrupted, and Satoshi agreeing (mind controlled) to be a cuck in the end. It feels like the story is already wrapping up. Wonder how many updates are left.

Any reason this doesn't have the kinetic novel tag? Since NOT having any choices is actually part of it story?

It was brought up and answered within this very same page, this post: https://f95zone.to/threads/isle-of-fall-v0-4-no-try-studios.234411/post-17358232

Basically, the dev made a mistake with the current release and it only plays the latest update. Follow the Patreon link in the above post from Itonami to download the previous v0.3 release. You can play the earlier content that way, then use the new update to play the v0.4 content. Simple as.
