This is why I wanted to secure the rpa file first (Yes I know its impossible to do 100%).

It's not that it's impossible to do it at 100%, it's impossible to do it, point.

More or less ten times someone tried to do this with a game available here, not once it needed us (the community) more than an hour to release an updated version of unrpa that worked with those "protected" rpa files. As for the rpyc files, I even released a script that automatically "unprotect" them.

I did find a way to secure my files in the end so its all good now.

I'm pretty sure that you didn't. But even if you had succeeded, it would have changed absolutely nothing. Changing a screen without access to the source code, including the game main menu, is a piece of cake, and replacing an image don't need that the said image was firstly erased from the rpa file where it's stored.
Therefore, whatever how deep in a stronghold your files can be locked, the level of protection will still be 0. It's something that you have to accept, and therefore being tricky will be more effective than passing hours trying to achieve what can't be done (securing your files).

I know it cant be tamper-proof I never said my solution was unbreakable. But at least I made it where off the shelf tools won't work which may discourage people. I know that if someone has the willpower they will succeed. But while I wait for my artist to finish his work, this is something I can do and did. Maybe it deters some people, maybe it doesnt. I'd rather try than do nothing.

Anyone got some tips to secure a renpy game? I know nothing is 100% secure but I'd be willing to add some changes to the game that makes it hard and inconvenient for someone to outright steal the game.

I know. I said in my post that I am aware it isnt possible to entirely stop but I want some ideas to make it more difficult/inconvenient so that it deters most people from trying. I am well aware that nothing can stop it fully guys.

Actually is a very good question, something I been thinking about myself, which is why I choose to go with HTML 5 but even that isn't full proof and thankfully I got the knowledge to use HTML5 instead of Ren'py or Unity. However, as others have said, if someone is determined enough they will always get your game. Putting up roadblocks is a good thing and making it a bit more difficult doesn't hurt you though, so no harm in asking and trying but sadly it's like trying to get blood from a stone to fully 100% secure something.

Make the patreon button (assuming you have one) part of the main menu background (So not a simple button that can be deleted), this way even if they get it, you will still get visibility.
Otherwise wait for that to happen and then file a DMCA takedown like runey did.

I told them I was the developer of HH and they had two options. Give me 90% of their income made from my game, or take it down. (The first option was there simply to make the second seem way more appealing)

He's just some kid in his mother's basement. He got scared. He didn't even protect his identity. Since then, however, he seems to not care. I know some people have gone to him with a DMCA threat, and he just told them they have no proof of being the creator.

Well, when they filled their netblock entry, they explicitly added some remarks fields to point to their abuse e-mail. It's rare enough to expect it to be responsive and try it. For those interested, the domain is iws.co and the address abuse.
But, stay polite (they are just humans and not responsible of the abuse you denounce) :
