Ahahahaha, this is delightful! I THINK I've got our resident misdirected AI on the track towards being a "Real Girl" rather than just a program. And of course, the mind-shattering jumping was a delightful representation of the chaos of the moment, the struggle to load balance everything while our protagonist's mind nearly fries.

You'll know you've got her on the 'Real Girl' path if she's got a pretentious, somewhat obscure, poem reference written on her pants in the last scene of 0.5.5.

Or, way more obviously -

Take a look at the spoiler pics and compare them to DigiDec's profile pic.

What do they have in common? The Pink hair and a malevolent smile!

Perhaps Digidec is an AI, or has been infected by one .

I've put some extra work into 'finalizing' the script this time around for the next release. The rough draft was/is huge, and I'm trying to balance all of the things I want/need to get in there with keeping the update a reasonable size.

This is mostly me warning everyone that the next release might take a little extra time.

I'll share some proper previews once I get some more exciting renders done.

Hey Digidec, what is easier for you?

Writing the script and dialogue, or doing the art and rendering?
Overall, the writing is definitely easier. I often feel held back by the art/render side of things because I either don't have the assets or skills to pull off the idea I had. The most common problem I have with writing is that I end up going overboard, write way too much and have to trim everything back.

The only times the art/renders are easier are when I'm just not feeling it but trying to get some work done. Maybe I had a long day/caught a cold/slept funny/tweaked my back/whatever, I can usually put on a pot of coffee (or crack a beer), buckle down and put together some renders. I can't really do that with the writing, if I'm not feeling it then it's just not happening until I get my mojo back.
