I've had enough of assholes who claim that no one is entitled to complain

I absolutely love those people who immediately start a freedom of speech conversation on this topic, but this behaviour will stop at once when this problem touches their own business. When some random dudes on the internet will complain about them not handling the proper communication, not providing quality services, and so on. Would it bury your reputation and business as well? Highly likely it would, but you won't fight it, right? You'll bury your business with happiness, because you should maintain freedom of speech for everyone, don't you?

Yeah, everybody is free to say shit, but nobody can't be forced to listen you or even pay attention. I really don't understand those, who demand (don't be a joke, they never ask, they are demanding) something from dev, not paying them a dime.

a bunch of ingrates is what you are. a dev pimps out his girlfriend to pay the rent, you ream her tight little butthole without paying, you don't even say thank you, and on top of that you have the audacity to talk smack about her on the internet.

is this the best reply you could come up with? you couldn't even come up with a constructive counter argument. this is the kind insults you would expect from a 13 year old.

do you even realize 2/3 of what you just wrote describes yourself ? if not, what are you even doing on a pirate site ?

Almost half of the replies on this thread are by you. The Only person who is "butthurt" here is you.

Only thing that irks me is if I am having a dialogue with a dev, about his/her game and some side character comes in an gives his/her opinion when it's not needed as I am dealing with the dev of that game...

Anyone has a right to complain, but unless you're a patron or bought the game on Steam or whatever you don't have a right to demand the dev listen to you. I think most of the devs do come here to read the comments about their game even if they don't respond, but they're going to care a lot more what their paying customers think than random people who pirated their game. Most of the time the comments are probably going to be similar but that might not always be the case. And when there is a divergence there, it's the paying customers who are going to get what they want, not the freeloaders.

That being said, I think most people don't even bother to comment on a game at all if they have no interest in it. They just move on. So even people who didn't pay for your game are probably somewhat interested in it if they're commenting on the forums here about it. They may not be a paying customer but they liked it enough to think it was worth commenting on so they're a potential customer. So they're still worth listening to.

If I download a game, try it, and think it's total crap I just delete it and move on. I don't comment. I don't rate it. I don't bitch about how it sucks. I just ignore it. I only jump into the comments to complain about something if I actually liked it and felt like I cared enough to want it to be improved.

There's a difference between a valid complaint and simply being a whiny little spermy tadpole.

Good:
"I don't like the direction the game is taking because of x and y." (Great, that's good feedback, thanks)

Gas Chamber:
"wtf I knew dev is a pedo the signs were there y he add x to game fucking ruined it." (You can climb up the stairs from your basement and push your mother down those same stairs for not considering abortion 18 years earlier.)

Complain all you want. As a dev, I relish in valid criticism. Praise feels great but criticism is a priceless learning opportunity. Just make sure those complaints have some value. Don't be an amoeba.

And in the spirit of complaining, I will myself complain in a mini-rant. Don't directly message a dev here or on Discord, out of the blue with no prior contact, with instructions on how we should make our game. That's an instant block.

"Hi I like ur game but u should add to game where Amy dances and you pee on her face and she has a little daughter who watches and masturbates to it thx. " (That's a real message, paraphrased)

The worst complaints are just that.. complaints not constructive.

One's that irritate me most are where you can see they don't know the Novel/game at all. Their facts are wild and obscure and they arguing points that either have been answered in game/novel or are still up to be answered.

As it's been said... on a pirate site I found most complaints yet hardly anything on Patreon. I have to add ive had some very good criticism and advice on pirate site(s) also.

Probably complaining about the fact that animations still haven't been re-added to the game, if I had to guess.

edit: Though, I kinda remember that comment from earlier this week. I think he was saying something in regards to why the dev hadn't given any updates recently (real life health issues) and people were flaming the dev over that.

Theres a group of people who were dropped often enough as a baby to develop trust issues with their parents and now are on the lookout for the next person to betray them. All it takes for them to call someone a scammer is make money on patreon and not release enough content to satisfy their arbitrary standards which aren't informed of any level of understand of the game development process. It's like a game of who is most paranoid and distrustful of others. Doesn't matter what the devs track record is, the moment they see a delayed patch they'll jump to cry about it like toddlers desperate for moms attention.

They're all Marxists since if the collective pays for a game then they're entitled to everything equally. Patrons getting the patch 1 month in advance and you the pirate waiting is unthinkable, patrons getting unique rewards that aren't shared = 100 pages of shitting on the dev for this practice.

money talks, for example:
if you say "i hate your game....blah blah blah" it gets ignored
if you say "i will never support games with blonde characters" devs listen. it makes them think

gee maybe I'd make more money if all the girls in my game weren't blondes
money money money i don't even like blondes, why did i put blondes in the game in the first place

People come here to play porn games and the forum itself is for talking about these games. Developers can listen or participate, but it's not their fucking place to censor everything. We should strive to be polite to each other, yes.

Yeah this a pirate site, to this people are also a potential costumers/supporters of the games they want/can support. What a lousy forum it would be, if you were only allowed to praise the given game or shut up. Never raising your voice against the shitty practices becoming common place for all too many developers. It's not a demand on the developer's personal site. It's debating on an open forum, where everyone can become a member.

Everyone is welcome to complain but in terms of ranking matter these are the people that matter to the dev usually when it comes to complaints. People who bought the game > pirates > everyone else who hasn't played the game.
