I've had enough of assholes who claim that no one is entitled to complain

If you're stuffing your face with free games, say "thank you" don't bite the hand that feeds you saying "I don't like anchovies on that game" go grab a game with no anchovies.
First, I don't like anchovies on that game. Now whatcha gonna do about it, freedom hater, huh, huh? People are entitled to share their opinions, can't stop them. Working as intended. Plus, there are a lot of patrons and ex-patrons here, and if they aren't entitled to criticize games then who are?

Second, that's kinda the point of criticism, to grab another box. For all that talk about free market you're missing the current state of the indie porn games market entirely: it's saturated with shit. Therefore, criticism is very valuable to consumers.

Continuing the pizza analogy, we have this pizza box that promises the most amazing Hawaiian pizza ever, and when you open it, you find one piece of pineapple and a shitton of anchovies. Now you've wasted time at the very least, if not money. In this situation it's preferable to have a hobo raving about how this piece of anchovy shit is a scam. It doesn't matter whether the hobo bought the pizza or "stole" it, as long as he's telling the truth about the contents of the pizza box. Hell, maybe his rant will attract anchovy lovers.

Continuing the tortured analogy some more, you open the second box, and you get half a slice. It's good, but small. And so you realize that it will take 10 years for the bakery to complete the pizza. Again, a raving hobo would be helpful.

tl;dr: ergo decedo is a fallacy.

If you searched for games with the "gay" tag, and you downloaded a game expecting to see some good gay buttsex, and after playing for three hours you didn't cum across a single asshole, it's understandable that you'd be upset and want to tell the whole world how frustrated you are.

If the game was tagged gay, and there's no gay content, then the uploader owes you at least a blowjob for "false advertising"
but it's not the developer's fault. You ranting and screaming that you want a nice hard cock in your ass, isn't going to change the devs mind about how they make their game. The dev doesn't even read this site. You didn't actually read the box, because you pirated the game. You got your information second-hand. If you had purchased the pizza at the store, you would have gotten extra cock and pepperoni just the way you wanted, and a free 2 liter of lube... but you didn't go to the store did you? no you didn't. so no cock for you.

Except he doesn't, because donations aren't really binding. "Thanks for your support and fuck off". You are't owed shit. Which is why a second opinion is valuable, and it doesn't really matter whether it comes from a "pirate" or a paying customer.

The dev doesn't even read this site.
False, many do.

You didn't actually read the box, because you pirated the game.
You're straw-manning hard. I didn't pirate the game, someone else did and criticized it. So yes, I've read the box and read a bunch of sticky-notes written by other consumers and pirates and based on that decided against opening it.

And this isn't about something as simple as Gay tag. Hell, even Gay tag is sorely lacking nuance. If the game has gay content it can be optional or mandatory. If it's optional, then someone who doesn't want gay content may be still interested in playing.

But it goes way more complex in most cases, aka discussions on good/bad writing, dialogue and so on. There are no tags for that.

If you didn't even open the box, then what the fuck do you have to whine about? You're crying "mommmmmy" because you read someone else's comments about the game and it hurt you delicate feelings? You should go to facebook, you'll love it there. facebookers comment about comments and jerk each other off.

If you haven't even played the game, and you're saying that you hate it, you have issues.

how do you even know if you like something or not, if you haven't put it in your mouth?

I had same experience. You have to let it go. It's easier to trolling than create...

4 whole pages, describing... the internet as a whole. If we had a dime each time a thread like this popped up in a forum... we'd all be so rich, we'd be bored to death by now, having tried everything there's to try.

Modding is easier than creating. Most of the work is done.

If I don't like something about a game, I mod the game the way I want it. crying doesn't do any good

complaining about a game, speaks more about the complaining person than it does the game.

I don't like x y and z. - has nothing to do with the game.
This game doesn't have x - has nothing to do with the game.
I hate x players, hear me roar. - has nothing to do with the game.

What is really being said in these complaints, is "I dunno how to mod games, all I can do is cry"
but are they going to ask "hey how do I learn how to mod this game" no. because they are lazy whiny babies who want mommy to do it for them.

Who's whining? Maybe you? I only said that I've avoided bad games thanks to negative comments about them, and that's a good thing. I'm not hating on the games I did not play, but I'm thankful to those who criticized those games.

Likewise if I encounter something I don't like in a product I'll voice my concerns, so that others can make a more informed decision. That's how this community works.

I want more substantiated criticism so I don't waste my time playing games not tailored to my taste. I will criticize games so others can learn about their flaws without wasting their time. Whether someone paid for the game or not does not enter this equation, the only requirement to give valid criticism is playing the game.

don't give a fuck about this shithead. this is a pirate website where we do pirat-y things, including leeching like crazy and complaing where complaints are due. end of story. anyone with an abnoxious morality is at the wrong place.

i also had such shitheads before. you complain over a game and actually bring up a lot of reasons as to why you don't like the game and bam! a sorry ass brainless fan appears raising a finger at you saying: "nah nah nah. you won't say anything against my waifu game!" those fucking assclowns really are a pest, but as avaron said already: ignore 'em.
wait a sec, are we the bad guys? and here i though paying 25$ per update to some guy at patreon is wrong. even if game is in development phase for 12 months you still pay 300$ for a indie-size game. I mean, ugh, i guess im changing my pronouns from video-games resistance fighter to buccaneer or somethin'. Cheers mate :alien:
