As one russian proverb goes, "everything new is well-forgotten old". Aquaplus/Leaf tried something with FullAni way back in 2006, but hentai mahjong has been a thing even before that (willing to bet on 90s). Would be rather peculiar if the sub-genre suddenly started growing again.

Actually, it probably is as old as the puzzles.

To make sure: you are referring specifically to "anime girls" titles, right? Because if by "strip mahjong" you also mean those with photos depicting real people - I am aware those came to be much earlier.
