I think because of the translation, people are confused about the story. It's actually pretty decent especially with the foreshadowing. Once you know who the girl in the cloak is, everything makes sense and why two endings don't really go well for our demon guy because you did the very thing they told you not to do in the prologue.

I don't know what over people are speaking about, the game is good even if censured (MTL is good, not best but I've seen far worse)

There at least 4 endings to get, 2 bad, 1 good, 1 true end (and those two last are really worth it )
