Right? I was amazed when I saw that. The amount of work that must have been put into this is insane.

But it's a complete different branch than ours, meaning the gameplay will be 4 years old. There's also how much harder it is to keep suspension of disbelief with real porn... with watermarks and stuff. And isn't that version 21Gb? ^^

Maybe you can put all the code and filenames through DeepL and have the game translated in an afternoon. Even that is a task that gives me vertigo, one must be very motivated. And if it doesn't work, it'll mean having to translate the game manually; it might take less time to understand cyrilic ^^

You can place Qgen inside the "real porn russian version" and edit the QSP file for a start. Here, you will see a lot of Russian language (you can compare it with the QSP from 2.2 to have an idea of how it looks in English).

Then, instead of waiting for a professional bilingual, you can translate everything with DeepL, which is basically a Google Translate that doesn't suck.

Lot of works, I'd be demoralized in advance, but at least that's a possibility.

Or you can also replace every picture in 2.2 with the ones from the Russian version and that should work, provided you follow the 2.2 file-naming convention.

Found a bug I think. If only this is not done on purpose? Version 2.2.1 Dev.
I start the game, move into the apartment, pick up Isabella, tell her to cook the food. There are no groceries available, but she is preparing a B+ rank dinner. Despite the fact that ending the day it is correctly said that for dinner, food of F- rank.
I checked, you can also cook it yourself without groceries.

She did her best with canned food, but at the end of the day it's still canned food.

The quality of the preparation sets the upper limit of the quality of the meal. The actual quality is resolved at day-end based on available ingredients.

I understand the logic of reasoning, but here it is more a matter of convenience and clarity. I see a blue cooked dinner at the bottom of the screen - I expect to have a good quality dinner at the end of the day. In the old version, it displayed the real rank of the prepared dinner. In my opinion, it was more convenient. In this case, it reflects the level of diligence of the one who cooked. You can't even see if the assistant did it or the slave. Is it worth it?

I don't think we changed how it works.

Recently switched to version 2.2.1, before that I played 1.7.5.1.
Most of the changes are strictly positive, but there are a few that are strange.
Already mentioned above about the real rank of cooked food without groceries.
Unexpected purchase of a stethoscope from the Slavers Guild. Before it was in the technosphere, which, in my opinion, makes more sense. Or, for that matter, why then are there no collars and shackles for sale in the same guild?
Johny was given the C rank of mage from the beginning of the game and the opportunity to buy an apartment appeared. I agree with the mage, but the slum start is more interesting. It's not for nothing that this is the maximum difficulty.
I also noticed that there was an old problem with the removal of the scar at the assistant. It even got worse. Have you tried to fix this?

I don't recall it being at the Technosphere. But it's been a long time since I played 1.7.5.1.

Likewise I don't recall Johny not starting with mage skill in the past. His backstory says that he dabbled in magic to reach the Eternal Rome. As for being able to buy an apartment from the start, didn't he have some starting reputation with Serpis House in the older versions?

I also noticed that there was an old problem with the removal of the scar at the assistant. It even got worse. Have you tried to fix this?
First time I've heard of a problem with assistant scar removal. I looked at the code, it seems correct. What exactly is happening?

The setting allows you to play quite freely with technology, so there is an idea for future versions.
It can be done one more service in the technosphere - to fix a broken mind. Essentially a kind of brainwashing. Removes the mindbroken status by lowering all skills by one rank, plus maybe with a decrease in intelligence or health. This will require finding some balance, but it will already make sense to buy slaves with a broken mind.
Alternatively, you can make this option available after obtaining patrician status - the Vatican gives permission for special services of the technosphere.
If you go deeper into this topic, you can add a lot. Loading knowledge directly into the brain, erasing memory, changing personality, and so on. I don’t think it’s all worth it, causing too much gameplay change. But you can think of something suitable.

It was in the technosphere, there are all medical services, it is logical that the stethoscope was also sold there.

No, he had no magic skills. The background was different:
"This pimply nerd and mama's boy, how did he even get into the Guild? They say that Mistress Angelica took pity when he stood in the market square with a flag stuck in his ass with the cryptic inscription "sup / b". But who will believe in Angelica's mercy? Either way, the ability to raise sex slaves for a horny virgin schoolboy is just a Klondike. Only of all the skills he has for this is only a bottomless abyss of perverted fantasies and hypersexuality fueled by hormones."
Also in older versions Johnny and Uncle Tom didn't have a reputation with houses. It was more fun to start.

If the assistant's scars are removed in the technosphere, the size of the saves increases by 6 MB. If you then expel the assistant, the size will remain increased by only 3 MB. Moreover, the treatment of slave's scars does not cause such problems. In older versions, it increased the size by 3 MB, but getting rid of the assistant did not reduce the size.

Interesting. I'll have to see if I can reproduce that. It sounds like something isn't being cleaned up properly.

I would have no objection to moving the stethoscope and removing house reputation from Johny's start. I would however object to removing his magic skill, considering that it is supported by his backstory.

For a more difficult start, you can do a hard difficulty custom start with zero points spent and minimum starting sparks. I did that a few times during the development of 2.2 to make sure it was possible.

You can use a water of lethe elixir to reset a slave's aura (which also lowers intellect), but you still need to rebuild their personality attributes the slow way. I don't really like the idea of a "medical" shortcut for building up attributes.
