As someone who uses this website and goes on to support the creators they like the most, I once heavily considered supporting Jackerman. I say this because I need to preface what I'm about to say before all of the "if you care, you should be supporting Jackerman! Don't complain on a pirate website!" - I'm offering constructive criticism through my viewpoint that I believe would net Jackerman more subs, including my own. That's all. No vitriol, no hate.

He needs to stop polling his fans for what animation to make monthly. They're not good, and it has nothing to do with the animation quality. At one point Jackerman was making shorts, long animations, whatever, and they were the ideas he wanted to make. And the storyboarding for those was way better, because you could feel he was more passionate about the work. I much prefer his old shorts not because of the animation quality (better with time), but because of the ideas implemented in the stories for his work. The shorts now are just so boring compared to his old stuff and I feel like it's because he doesn't love the shorts he's making. If I felt like Jackerman was making porn for himself first and for us second, like he used to during Tentacular, I'd throw my money at the guy because I think his stuff would go back to being as good as it used to be.

Speaking as someone in the supporter community, I can see your take. But from what I’ve seen Jack likes the community input, gold nominations are often vastly different from his own, and challenge him to get creative.

If it seems like his current works don’t match up to prior ones, you could chalk that up to the amount of stuff he’s been having to deal with. School, exam crunch, the colossal tech problem he had to deal with this month, dealing with legal issues like that douche reuploading his content as their own and making money off it, designing his own website, and who knows what else.

To be clear, whenever he does work on a game again it won’t be til after he’s done with MW. Which won’t be for awhile. And even then that will take a while. Unreal engine is quite different from a typical Renpy game.

I think its more that the first shots are without effects and details, it is just an early WIP after all.
