It wasn't meant as an insult. He tends to release small 1 minute clips or so inbetween his bigger projects. So that might be more up people's alley is what I meant.

Okay popping back in after another work week and...things moved again. And per usual, ya'll acting like its the apocalypse.

iirc, Parkside Playdate, along with other shorts last year, had parts of them cut or were unable to made due to time constraints. Which garnered complaints from ya'll. And now that he's taking as much time as needed to properly finish them...you're still complaining?

Kinda a head scratcher there. Do ya'll want this stuff quick and incomplete? Cuz Jack's clearly a perfectionist. Just that preview clip of the lips moving is just...yeah. Can't tell ya how many animators would just move the jaw up and down like the models are ventriloquist dummies. If it takes long, then so be it, it gets publicly posted in the end regardless.

As for MW3, yeah it'll probably push things a bit. But he's shown to pretty much always be working on it in someway, be it the music, audio, or elsewhere. Just cuz he doesn't show it on a regular basis doesn't mean anything bad. As someone who waited a good year for each of Animopron's BTQ parts (seriously you can count they were a year apart), this really isn't anything. Heaven forbid ya'll were a fan of SMDF either (picturing that time gap between Neighbor's Wife 1 and 2 *shudders*).

"Just cuz he doesn't show it on a regular basis doesn't mean anything bad" True, so much so that MW3 is totally behind schedule and the rate of time needed to do the monthly increases every month, but you're right, it's ok and under control.
As long as people keep using the mistakes of others as justification for their own mistakes, no one will ever get it right.

Behind schedule implies some kind of deadline, I don't think Jack is launching a AAA game or something xD. Really the guy just needs to learn to not give dates til the thing is actually done. Just take however long it takes to get it finished, then build up hype with like a week of previews, then release the thing with no issues. Its impossible to know for sure when you'll be done in this line of work, cuz anything can go wrong with rendering. Blender's pretty, but it ain't perfect either.

In regards to the mistakes of others, I'm trying to show that there are far more egregious examples of people dragging their feet when it comes to content, and I don't think its fair to lump Jack in with them. Like the Milfy City comment up there is just ridiculous, as that dev went for more than a year with no updates. Whereas Jack is feeding us quality content on a monthly basis, whilst working on a big project, and while going through college? Should count ourselves lucky he hasn't burned out.

I'm really really not trying to be a white knight or some shit, I know delays suck. But it could be sooooooooooo much worse is all I'm saying (y)
