Mother's Warmth Chapter 3 stuff:
I'm still finishing the script for the animation, I had hoped to be further on it than I am now but given the ambitious nature of this months animation, it's been difficult to get pen to paper. However, I'm mostly finishing dialogue and streamlining some of the intro so I should be able to get it out to the VAs in about 3 weeks. To the Rebecca fans amongst you, I spent a lot of time rewriting her lines to get her just where I wanted her to be in terms of character. She's loving but in her own way, she's not quite as gentle as Claire is and she tends to be a bit more confrontational than her sister. Also, as I've said before, each chapter is supposed to generally get more intense than the one before it and that will hold true here. Overall, the most difficult part of doing each of these MW chapters always seems to be narrowing down my goal from fragmented ideas into a distinct singular vision that drives the animation's design forward, and I finally feel that I have a mostly clear understanding of what I'm trying to do. While it is porn, it is never simple. Many may forget how many decisions I have to make for a series like this to happen, it is never something that just comes to me. Everything from lighting, set design, character design, every animation detail, voice acting directions, to any other choice that has to be made is made by me and me alone. Every decision needs to be backed up by a list of reasons for why that decision was made, and that's why it would often take years to make a project of this scale.
