Another delay this what he said:
I’ll try to keep this one brief to avoid over-explaining (and hitting the Discord Nitro limit like I’ve done several times before). Here’s a breakdown of my production progress for the month of November:
It was a hard month. Roughly **1 minute and 50 seconds** of new animation was fully completed in October. That’s under target, but I spent the last two days of the month on a 20-second shot that wrapped early this month. If that shot had made the cutoff, I’d be closer to my recent pace. I also began the month sick with Covid for the entire first week, which carried over from the end of September so my productivity was unfortunately somewhat crippled for a time. I also originally planned to knock out simpler shots, but ended up tackling much harder ones earlier in the timeline to avoid disrupting flow. These included an extended segue with full body and facial animation. I didn't animate any easy shots in October, they were all pretty time intensive, which is not usually the case. There tend to be a few less time intensive shots sprinkled in. Fortunately though, the shots I have ahead of me are the easier/less time intensive shots I was looking forward to. Hopefully I will making up lost time in the coming weeks.
**Remaining Work:**
I’m currently animating the facial and in-between shots for MW3’s third-to-last action sequence. The non-facial shots for these are already done and rendered. Like mentioned above, these shots go quicker (around 8–10 seconds per day) compared to the 3–4 seconds I average on heavier technical work as the base animation/general motion of the sequence is already done.
MW3 is now expected to run about 45 seconds longer than last projected. The runtime looks to land over 37.5 minutes, possibly 38+ before credits. About 3 minutes of new animation remain: 2 minutes at the end, and 1 minute in a section meant for Damon’s lines (now being recast after the original VA was unresponsive). After these two chunks, I’ll refresh MW3’s oldest intro scene. Much of it holds up, and based on past refreshes, I expect that to take about a week.
**Timeline Update:**
My average is around 5.5–6 seconds of animation per day when uninterrupted. Factoring in the refresh (~1 week) and a few days for sound, I’m estimating about 38 days remain—pushing completion out from last months estimate which put us 19 days from release. I blame at least a week of this on my being ill, during which time I was barely making progress. The rest of the shift is due to the extension of MW3's runtime after completing another few minutes of animation without much dialogue to frame/time things properly.
**Completion Estimate:** ~December 13th, 2025 (+19 days)
There may be another sneak peek. No promises yet, but we’ll see. Given so little work remains on such a massive project, I'd like to keep as much hidden until release as I can. Also I am interested in hearing video hosting ideas from you all for the private release of MW3, as I recently went through the exporter and found that MW3 will be around 20 gigabytes if I use my usual compression standard.
