You could argue that Stoper understands that better then most, "good enough" IS when he's satisfied with the result, every other metric is irrelevant.
I agree with you! I've said it many times: he doesn't respect his paying fans. He only think about his personal satisfaction! (it is not such a good thing for an artist)
The update itself when ready will be short and very unsatisfactory for all players.
The fact that Stoper is keeping a secret of what will happen in the next update ... it's clear to me: only release the update when something is ready --- because he doesn't have to worry about announcing a story progression ... there aren't any promises to be fulfilled and he is free to do what he wants.
When the renders are finished he adapts the plot partially received by the story writer collaborator ... then he starts announcing an upcoming update .. but but after some time he realizes that the images already prepared in the past are not enough and do not fit the plot .. . and starts announcing that it needs more different animations and images.
The release delay is the constant problem because there is no regular schedule of update times as can be seen from all of its announcements ...
this game is almost an improvisation and ... where the plot is written only for the update in progress ... there is no defined story for the whole plot ... the story and the images have to be adapted to each update based on remaining time from other third party jobs.
If Jessica O'Neil's story had already been written and complete in text format from the start it would have been much easier and faster to plan for updates... (some modification from the patreon desires are always possible even the main story is written)
The announcements of our Hero Stoper, convey an obvious confusion in the way of planning his work
I continue to bet that we have to wait until September for this update and maybe much more for those like me want to have a real and big story progression...
