    Yeah, I canceled my pledge. This is a very promising game, but not 30+ bucks per update promising.
    The author needs to revise his workflow. The Ren'Py scripting can easily be done during the rendering process, even with placeholder images if necessary. And so can optimization (of the already finished renders) and translation.

      Bullshit. The guy boots about what an expert he is, then says he can't hire help, because his DAZ library is too big. You can find a coder to save you the RenPy time, you can find a writer to help you with the writing, you can find a guy to pose crowd characters or build scenes in DAZ, you can find an animator, you can find someone to do postwork...And this crap about "people wanting cheap porn games" *using Jim Sterling's mocking voice* is pathetic. Considering how many examples of quality, well written games there are. If anything, most of the projects that get supported a lot have either quality writing and/or solid gameplay. What a clown!

I personally don't see a release happen before November, if even that. Guess one can only hope that I'm wrong and Jozef Minge's guess is more accurate, but I doubt it.

Let's not forget the "Animation" excuses that arrive the closer we get to the release for further delays.
That alone shoots the estimations to the end of the year closer to what you have predicted.
As always stoper has the habit of saying so much with so little meaning while absolving himself from any accountability.

Well if L&P can use 400 renders for a single scene,why not 100 renders:)
There is also a game with a scene with around 6000 renders.

Yeah, I found that line to be quite weird aswell. Like, why would he even mention that this render isn't from the update? He's never done that before as far as I know. He's barely ever providing actual teasers or hints as to what's to come in the next update anyway, atleast none of which show anything worthwhile (Dartboard and Milkshake renders during previous devcycle for example). The first 6 months of that devcycle had absolutely nothing except for the "custom" beach scenery showcases, which that asset was barely used even tho he made it sound like it's such a big deal taking months of time to create.

But this time..? So far we've seen a closet which he's apparently spent an entire day on (lol), a render of Jess arriving at work, and we're already 8 months into the cycle. So yeah, that really begs for the question as to why he did not simply use one of those 100 renders for his new devblog if he has them. "I was testing something". What the actual f....? Testing what? Shooting a render with Jessica's ass in a string to use for your devblog?

So yeah, maybe he has indeed nothing yet except for the last scene of the current PD, and the first couple renders of the next one...And maybe plans for what to create in the coming months when he finally starts working. Last devcycle already had heavy indicators that he's not done anything the first 6+ months, but I'm not gonna pull those posts up again and well, this time around he's basically said himself that he hasn't done much of anything for the first 6 months, except his excuse was a different one.

I think he just makes art for his enjoyment, without regard to the game. And that's fine, we all need to recharge and making art for art's sake is healthy. But after all of these months, it strikes me as really tone deaf to share a generic render in lieu of an in-game render. Forget us, the jaded pirates, but have the courtesy to toss your patrons a bone. They've been paying you for months, they've earned something of note. And yes, maybe many of them are fine or don't think anything of it, but from my seat I think the ethical thing to do would be to go above and beyond and give them something. If you're so proud of the scene you're working on, then give them a tiny taste. It just seems like bad business to do otherwise.

It's funny how patrons don't value their money and time. And the developer is just an arrogant type) However, I've already forgotten about this game. But she's still twitching her leg) As we said earlier, there are two ways to solve the problem with updates of this game. 1. The developer closes the project himself, but he doesn't want it, it's free money, threw a render once a year and $ 2k every month. 2. All patrons abandon him and he starts releasing updates more often or closes the game, changes the name, and makes the milking project again. But as practice shows, none of this will happen. If the author of the game almost directly spat on patrons, when in one of the blogs, he said that he didn't care who was waiting for what, how he wanted to do it, and everyone accepted it and supported him with money. Unfortunately Darwin is powerless here)))
